We want to wait at least a year...anyone else waiting or are you going to try right away?

Ahh, this is the million dollar question right now!
I'm out og work and and we're trying to decide if I should just collect the unemployment and get pregnant or get a job and then wait a year to get pregnant.
Fh has serious baby fever right now..I'm not sure what I want..

I want to wait at least 2 years!!! If FH had his way, we'd prob start trying right away (he thinks we're having 5 )
I only want 2 - MAX 3, but we'll see. I definitely want some 'alone' time with my hubby before we bring kids into the mix!

we've been together 6 years already, living together for 5.5 - so we're already trying & have been for 5 months.

We'd like to wait a year or two... there is so much we'd like to do before we have a baby. We want to travel and just enjoy married life first... then we will start popping them out! LOL

thanks girls - it's a very frustrating thing honestly....you convince yourself you're pregnant every month just for AF (aunt flow) to show up....

I feel exactly the same way. We just moved in together and i want to get used to that adjustment first. If it happens before then fine but i want to wait a little bit.

We want to wait about 1-2 years. We want to travel and spend time as husband and wife and eventually buy a house....Hopefully in the spring!

i am with you guys. i want to wait a few years at least. we just got a puppy and DH said he would be happy with just us for the rest of his life! i was like 'cute sentiment, but we're having kids jerk' LOL JK!

At first we decided to wait a year before we started trying..but it largely depends on my job situation....as I've mentioned many times before I'm a contractor... so I would really like to wait until I have a permanent job.

depends on how long it takes for us to move into a house and get settled - i dont want to rush into anything - sometimes i want a baby right away and other times i think that i might never want one id like to be done by age 30 but realistically im not sure if that is going to happen - im thinking maybe 2 years after the wedding we can start trying? maybe i will be ready by then?

I told my FH that when we own we can have a baby.. but if that doesnt happen within 5 years then 5 years... sounds long but I need time start my career

2-3 years. I'll be 35 in December so I'll be an older momy. FH is only 31. We want to buy a house and enjoy married life for a little while.

I am ready emotionally now but we are not financially ready. we are moving to NH next fall and will probably start trying a year after I get a job there (which I hope will be in the spring of 2009 - work at home job that I can do from NY so that when I move, I am all set with work). I hope to HAVE the baby in 2010.

my sister went through this... had serious issues, we used to get together and cry with her after years would go by...but don't worry, there is ALWAYS a way, and I have an adorable 3-year old nephew to show for it.

I'm not ready. Neither is he. We are going to reevaluate in 2010 when I'm done with grad school.... hoping my clock will start ticking then (I'll be 33 in 2010 )
