How long before trying for a little one...

At least 3 years, probably more like 4 or 5. Honestly, we're young, the first of our friends to get married, we're not financially or emotionally ready for a baby, or to be tied down by anything....DH is 24, I'm 25....probably by the time we're 30 we'll be ready Right now finding someone to watch our doggie when we go away is trouble enough! We're just not ready to change our lifestyles yet, still getting used to this living together thing

we want to try right away im 40 his 30
i already have a 16 year old son and a 14 year old daughter but he has none and im getting older by the minute lol

We'd like to wait a year or two... there is so much we'd like to do before we have a baby. We want to travel and just enjoy married life first... then we will start popping them out! LOL

hmmm...how about the week after next on our HM? We have discussed it and decided not to wait. We are both in our 30s and feel we are ready to start a family both emotionally and financially.

We plan on trying the night of my sisters wedding, October 11, 2009.

I dont want to be pregnant and take the limelight away from my sis and I want to enjoy the showers and bp and everything that I can for her wedding.

But that night IT IS ON

aw thats sweet! Im in a similiar situation..my sis is getting married in 2010 and I want to try in 2 years possibly..so I may try to conceive right after her wedding, for the same reasons you mentioned!

LOL this was my plan too, My sister is planning on getting married in March 2010... However we just found out she is pregnant! So now i want one right away so they can grow up together.... FH is not too sure, he would wait 10 years if i let him.

thanks girls - it's a very frustrating thing honestly....you convince yourself you're pregnant every month just for AF (aunt flow) to show up....

my best friend just went through this- they started trying in October and finally in May she got pregnant- her doctor told her that it takes most healthy couples about a year- but hopefully it will happen sooner for you guys

We have been trying for 2 1/2 years

I just started seeing a fertility specialist in April so hopefully it will happen VEEERRRRRYYY soon

I think we are going to try right away. I am in my mid 30's I don't know how much time I really have left lol

DITTO!! Im 32 but all the woman on my mother's side went through menepouse in their mid to late 30's so I've got to get a move on!!!
We are going to start on the honeymoon...

we'll be together 6 years on sept 1st, but we're both still young (24) and i have one year of law school left.

we'd like to wait at least 4 years...

Well I'm off the pill now, so we'll see.....
