How long did it take you & how many did you try on before you decided on THE DRESS???

Now that I have 365 DAYS TO GO I am going to start looking soon - just curious how long it took you ladies. I dont want to get frustrated and just choose one for the sake of choosing - I want to love it!

I went to 3 places and tried on about 7-10 dresses each time..some were just to shut up my mom and FMIL, but THE dress I tried on at the second store and couldn't stop thinking about it, then I went to another and they had it too...had to try it on again...still was thinking about it, then i went back to try it on yet again, but with the veil and all that nonsense, I knew before I went back that I was going to get it!!!
I can't wait to wear it!!!!!!

About 5 months and a hundred dresses, but I am insane. the one I went with was a total whim to try to when I was going to buy another dress.

I went to six places and tried on about 7-8 at each place. I found my dress at the last place.

I only went to one dress store and it was the 5th dress I tried on. I think I tried on 8 total. But I knew it was the one. At both of my fittings, I put on the dress and aside from the groom, I KNOW it is the best decision I made for this wedding!

I tried on about 20 dresses and I went to 3 places. As soon as they brought out 'my' dress I knew it was the one

The first dress I saw on-line. .. and the pic wasn't even a full photo- I went to the store and sure enough.. I LOVED it!! I tried on two other dresses just for the sake of trying them on.. I think you will just know which is gonna be your dress.

I saw my Maggie dress in a magazine and said 'this is the one'
Went to try it on before anything else -- and again I said 'its definitely the one!'
But everyone insisted that i try on other things because 'you never know ..' I truly hate the whole 'dress' process (I'm an anti-bride also) .. but I humored my family and probably tried on 30 more gowns. I did like a few of them, but certainly didn't LOVE anything else quite the same way as the first one.
Enough was enough! I went back to the original 'this is the one' dress I saw in a magazine and ordered it from Netbride.
I could've saved a lot of time though!

Seriously, around 75 dresses and 4 months (I had issues, man ) and I bought the 74th which happened to be the first one I ever ripped out of a magazine!

The first dress and only dress i did try on 2 other just in case but first dress first store!! Crazy!!

It was the first dress i tried on also, and I said to my mom I cant cry on the first dress thats ridiculous. So I tried on 11 more all different styles. I then went right back to the first dress and broke out into tears it was funny I had half the store crying they said it was like the dress was made for me lol

I ended up with the first dress I tried on, but tried on a total of about three at one shop, BR in Manhattan. BUT I spent about two years researching the wedding mags waiting for FH to propose, so I was really prepared! LOL

1 week. 3 stores. About 10 per store. The dress I ended up with was NOTHING like what I had imagined getting. I thought I wanted a ball gown but ended up with a-line.

I went to 3 places and tried on about 6 or 7 dresses at each one. I went to Pronovias the third time and it was the second dress I tried on, but I still tried on about 3 dresses after that to make sure

I went to 3 places and tried on about 20-25 dresses total. I took an 8-month break between the 2nd and 3rd place, lol. By then I felt much more refreshed and had a better idea of what I wanted.
