We dated about a year before he proposed, we started talking about marriage though after dating for like 6 months.

We dated for 8 1/2 years before he proposed, but we were 14 and 16 when we started dating, so I expected that....

Dated for 3.5 yeas, but knew him for 9 years!!! I think waiting longer for the ring is better. I know so many people who got engaged after only 1.5 years & they are all divorced now.

I met FH when I was 16 when we working together in the library! We've been dating now for a total of about 6 years! (with a year when we were broken up in between)

8.5 years (and we never broke up!!!! some people are shocked by that!)...DH and I met when I was 17 and he was 18 so we waited until we were financially stable before discussing marriage...we always knew we would marry each other, it was just a matter of time.

Just under a year...and we had a little 'break' in the middle there... But now we're planning an October wedding. There's no timeline...every relationship is different. When you know what you want time doesn't really matter all that much.

umm lets see its been 7.5 years.... so I guess he proposed almost as we got to 6 years.

Let's see, we got enagaged 2.5 years ago, so that would be 5.5 years until engagement, and 8 years, 2 months from the start of our relationship until our wedding :)

We've known each other for six, we've been together for five and a half years, and we have been living together for about five years. So basically I feel like we've been married for about that long!

Wow, we were together close to 8 years before he proposed...We met right out of high school! Honestly we were ready alot sooner but were afraid of this wedding thing...We were right to be scared! It's alot of money, man!

We dated for 5 years 2 months before he proposed. We started dating when I was 13 though, so we were young when we started dating

I met my FH in January of 2003, we started dating in April/May and he proposed 5 days before our 3 year anniversary!

well, i have known my fiancee since i was 13, we have been together since I was 14..... i am now 27 and we will be getting married next October and i will be 28 then.....
