We had our first appointment maybe 2 1/2 - 3 weeks after being engaged, and booked the hall just shy of 2 months being engaged.

We waited a month but that's because we knew we didn't want a long engagement - we're only gonna be engaged for 13 months when we get married - but it's totally up to you. I think you should do it whenever you feel comfortable starting to look but if you have a date in mind that you definitely want, def book as early as possible I'd say.

we got engaged on Christmas Eve and we started looking at halls in Feb.

We waited 3 months.

We started looking in 2 weeks. But also I think it depends on what time of year you are looking to have it and how quickly you want to get married. The late spring/summer months book up quick!

we got engaged a few days after christmas... we were booked the first week in feb

I waited like a month...i was too excited to wait longer than that

about 2 months. right after we got engaged we went to europe and then had to catch up on work/life, so we werent really focused yet, lol
