To be different my fiance and I are thinking about having a 7 hour wedding! We don't want it to end. Is that too much time?
Cocktail hour, 4 hour reception, Vianese hour, after hours party.

if you have a crowd who is into an after hours thing that that is a good idea. or....you can just have an after party somewhere else.
ours is CH 1:30-2:30 Reception 2:30-6:30
after party at hotel til ??

Ours is 4:30 - 10.....then after party at the bar in the hotel....they are open till 4am!!! haha

I want my wedding to last all night also, because when my fam and friends go out we close down the place so I want it to party all night. But I am not thinking about how tired we are going to be. I have read that some Sat wedding lasts unti 1:30 -2:00, I dont mind but for being up all day and the night before me and my BP and FH would be exausted. My wedding is on a Sunday from 6-12 but I may want to extend it another 1/2 hour or hour.

Yes my fiance is nuts. He is greek and he will be flying in a musician from Greece. I will have a band there and then the greek musician will follow. This is why we need the extra hours, we don't want to ruin the mood for our other guests..

Mine is 6 and 1/2 hours long...we added on an extra 1/2 hour to the CH for pics and whatever else...I love CH. We also added the Viennese Hour...

our ceremony will be around 11 then recpetion at 130-630 dont know about after yet! i think our after party is the baby making session at the hotel!!!!! lmao

Our CH starts at 7:30 and the Reception goes to 12:30 and then we are going to hangout at the bar at the hotel and drink so more and hangout.

I forgot to factor that in...its going to be an all day affair. My fiance was dying for us to get married in Greece...the weddings there are a week long! Imagine!

At Russo's they will set-up the smaller room with couches, a martini bar, and music. I like the idea, or else move the party somewhere else.

My FH wanted to get married in Greece also. We are from there and go every year and we would have gotten married on my island, but to have my whole family from here go there, it will be caotic and it wouldnt be fair for the people who wouldnt make it.

Which island? He is from Crete. That would be ideal., it will save us a lot of money and be beautiful, but my mother refuses to fly.

ours is pre ch 4-5 ch 5-6 reception 6-10 after hrs 10-11
im probably going to be tired and want to enjoy the night with fh and not pass out from drinkin too much
