Just curious to see if anyone else had RUDE guests. I had a few people come up with 'issues' at the very last minute and cancelled on us. One co worker even asked me if he could bring a date..I said yes..expected the 2 of them to be there & they never showed up! All total we paid for 8 people who never came...how bout you guys??

We had 8 guests not show but we were under our minimum by 2 anyways so it didn't really make a difference. We still had to pay for the min.

We had 4
My cousin who was 8.5 mos pregnant and her husband- we decided not to include them in the final count because of that. If they showed we were going to pay day of.
Our priest who is ill with Parkinsons Disease, it was hot the day of our wedding, and he was wiped out after the mass.
One of DH's elderly aunts, who had an infection or something. Apparently, this is a common occurence for her to no show, and its the only one I'm annoyed about.
We had 8 as well...all who cancelled the week of the wedding...I actually had 4 cancel the night before.

we had around 12. a few of them called the week of. the others were mostly 'and guests' that came solo instead of with their guest, even though they replied for two

We had 6 people not come that RSVP'd yes - but only 2 real no shows. Everyone else called the week of the wedding to say why they couldn't make it, but it was already too late at that point b/c we had already made the final payment

We had 4. One person got sick her husband still came. 2 no-showed, still no call or anything from them. My husband was just in this guys wedding party 2 years ago. And the last ones girlfriend did not show.

about 5... 2 of my cousins didnt bring dates, one of my husband's cousin didnt bring a date... (when they all said they were..) and my friend michael & guest didnt show up...

yes you do but it's ok we all would have thought the same thing!!
My friend got married in March and one of her guests gave her a $25 gift card to Borders!!! Who does that??

most RH's will let you pay on the spot. they usually account for this, and they always have extra food on hand anyway.

I'm still going to include them in my seating and have a pc for them. I just wont be paying for them up front. If they show I'll pay that night.

A LOT of no-shows!!!! 8 or 9 I think. Mostly people who didn't end up bringing the date like they said they would, and a few people who had 'emergencies' and a few who are just totally stupid Made me even MORE below my minimum than I already was.
And of of the no-shows had NO EXCUSE at all!!!!! She just didn't bother to come, and never called before or after (I had to email her) even though she replied yes. So I sent her a REALLY NASTY email about what a rude, rotten person she is.. I gotta say that felt GREAT.

We had 6. One was completely understandable. A friend of DHs came without his wife because she had a baby just a few days prior to the wedding. Two couples didn't show at all & one friend who was supposed to bring a guest came solo.
