Does anyone know of any locations, besides a church to have a ceremony. We don't want to get married at Villa's becasue we want to have time in between for pictures. We also wanted a place that we can set up a tent incase of bad weather and somewhere in Suffolk County, but not too far from the reception.

Where do you live? Why not a park or Northport Village they have a nice gazebo but not to sure what would happen if it rained. I'm not that familar with the area by Villa's though. Northport is in Suffolk County.

Hi,
I'm getting married at Westbury Manor...and so far we have
The reception hall/ceremony location photographer/videographer dj my dress ordered/shoes bought favors started (making them myself) Invitations picked out, ordering them soon Bridesmaids dresses picked out ordering them next month
Oh and I'm planning from out of town as well...so things are hectic for me. You guys are a godsend.

Welcome to the post! Shoes are on my to do list too. I haven't thought about where to go. I was going to maybe try Love My Shoes in Huntington. I don't know what type of selection they have in the bridal department though.

for shoes I was going to hit Sandy's shoes in Massapequa - went there for my GF's wedding and they had TONS of bridal shoes.
today has been super-crazy at work, so i haven't really been able to post much. hoping to catch up this weekend

hi karen! i have been insanely busy too! get this... in october, FH was offered an amazing job in NJ & we decided that he should definitely take it & we will move there. however, i'm a teacher & need to get certified to teach in NJ & find a job. i had an interview on tuesday & they offered me a job on the spot! yay! only problem is, they need me for february!! i've been a bit stressed out, trying to decide!! but i'm going to do it! haven't told my school yet... so now we're looking for an apartment to live in temporarily before we buy something in NJ. i will be moving in a few weeks & now planning from out-of-state!! very crazy! trying to get lots of stuff done before i go. i think i'll hit sandy's & craft shoes in commack tomorrow. has anyone booked limos yet? i thought i'd go to royalty in franklin square but there was recently a negative post about the quality of their cars.

i'm finding limos to be the hardest part of the planning, too. as soon as i think i found a good limo company, somebody posts a bad review. it's so hard to find a limo company with a 100% good review. right now i'm leaning towards all-star, but who knows??
i am DEFINITELY sending my check in tomorrow morning! can't wait to meet you guys!! i'm such a slacker work has just been super crazy. i'm still there and will probably still be here for awhile
