For awhile now I thought it was but after checking out the prices for what I'm really looking for I just don't know if it is going to fit within our budget

I didn't before and then changed my mind. As someone said, it's the one thing that grows in value the most after the wedding. After all is said in done, you'll look at it and after years you'll see people that may not be around anymore, laughing and breathing. I didn't want one and ended up choosing someone really reasonable so that I wouldn't regret it later.

same here I know I can't afford one. Some one suggested maybe getting someone who goes to school for this just so at least you get it on tape and semi professional. I think I might look into it and see what I can find. I dont need all the fancy editing I just need it on tape!

I can't imagine not having it on video! No need for anything fancy, just to have it to watch, look back on the day, see things you missed . . . Down the road show your kids, see relatives who aren't around anymore, just remember the day in general when your memories start to fade a little. I think it's such an important thing to have and not just in a cheesy way. I would love to be able to watch my parents wedding video but they don't have one.

It is very important to me to have a videographer, but it was also very important to me to stay in budget...we went with Couped-Up Productions...his packages are VERY reasonable, ours is only $1200 and we're getting a lot for that price!

I def think it's important. I feel like as the bride and groom, the day flies by and you miss a lot of little things. I want to be able to remember everything about the day...even if I only see it in the video. I also want it to show my kids & grandkids one day! jmo tho!
