HOW MANY OF YOU ARE...?

How many of you are using your hall's recommended vendors?

I haven't used any of their recommended vendors yet. It seems like they actually charge more.

Is it actually better to used them?

I think for my hall it is better with respect that they give us half off of their plates if we use them (will help us a lot!!)

IT seems that my hall has some high end recommended vendors - we are probably definitely using their recommended florist - and we want to use their recommended photographer - we just need to figure out $$$ issues.

but they were a coincidence..the venders i went to see were ones that were recommended by the gals here

where are you having your wedding... its not posted
if you are having it at an expensive place...chances are the more expensive the vendors are because they only recommend 'the best' in their opinion... although sometimes they are not even close

my hall has only recommeded a florist and i didn't go with them..but i'd shop around if i were you..

I haven't used any of them, I haven't been very impressed by any of them so far.. I am looking at ADA photography, they look good.

I'm only using one, but not because he was on the list.
I don't know really if there are any advantages. Some halls charge less for the vendor meals if they are on the recommended list.

Im using one...ADA studios ...but the owner is also FI's cousin so we'd have used him regardless...

We never got a list of recommended vendors. I am using their florist b/c they include basic flowers from the Milleridge florist in the cost, and then you can upgrade from there.

I don't think that we are going with any of them... For us, if we use their DJs or photographers/videographers we don't have to pay for their plates at all! If we bring in our own vendors it's half off...

That's about all of the incentive. We met with some of them at a tasting and they did offer slight discounts... but you have to go with who you like :)

We are using only (1).

Not that we didn't like who they were referring it's just that we found our vendors by research.

Honestly, I was NOT impressed with my halls vendors. And the way one of the vendors got onto the list of 'recommended vendors' was not what I considered to be a good enough endorsement of their quality. Did that make sense?
