We are both 35 and until we can both afford to live comfortably without debt, we will not have a child. We feel it is irresponsible to to otherwise no matter HOW old you are. It won't be very long though. I have already heard from one too many people 'Oh you are 35, you'll want to get moving soon before your clock runs out.' To which I reply, 'Yeah my ovaries are dried up raisins, thanks for filling me in!' Dumbarses I tell you. People don't change - they are the same tactless morons who told me I needed to lose weight when I wore a size 24. Sorry for the rant - tender subject!

I feel your pain. We're both in our early 30's and it's my gynecologist who keeps reminding me about my 'biological clock'.

I get alot of that too and from my family!!!! Although my sister has been married 4 years already, most likely I'll be the first to give them grandkids!!

It's like, I KNOW I'm 35 and I KNOW DH is 40....I'm not dumb to that!!! I don't want to wait to long, but we're still adjusting to married life and want to enjoy this time together before we have little ones.

well lately (since I work with ALOT of babies and get to see them good and bad sides of them) my mommy 'thing' has kicked in a bit.... I go from 'oooo I want a baby now' to 'OMG ew no babies for me!' ....So bacially I am not ready, I am ready to be a wife and want to settle into that... we waited SOOOO long to actully spend a night together (no not that, actully sleeping and waking up together) I SOOOO do not want to give that up for a screaming child!! well not yet ! It shall be 3-4 years...or untill we are really ready.

We have already started! We have a 2 YO and a 3 month old, and I have an 11 YO - all boys!

We'd like to have one more in about 4-5 years.

probs like 3-5 years...I have to get my masters and get into my career...then we can start making a family

Same here. FH & I have been together for almost 7 years and we have been all over the world on many vacations already, and REALLY enjoyed our 20's, so after our wedding, we will be ready to settle down and start a family. We have our house already, so we will be ready for children.
