Before you booked? It's the biggest expense for the wedding besides the RH and I want to make sure I get the best while not getting ripped off. So far I have 2 that I am meeting with this Thursday...
i actually only met with one and booked him on the spot, however, i did call around first to get a sense of pricing and what was included in their packages. it also helped the fact that the photographer i picked has a great rep on here so i wasn't nervous about booking w/ him
i emailed three and we met with the one we booked.
I probably called about eight different ones for quotes, then met with three, and booked one of those three.

I only met with 1 BUT i had researched photographers for MONTHS. I looked at all their work on their site, even some at bridal shows i would look at the albums they had there and spoke to some there, i looked at past brides weddings. I thought many took nice pics but nothing had blown me away after months of looking. Then one day somebody posted pics they took with my photographer and i checked out her site, the moment i saw her pics i said ' I HAVE TO HAVE HER I DONT WANT ANYBODY ELSE' dh felt the same way, and for us when we were looking to book an appt, it wasnt about whether or not we will book her, it was us really hoping she was still available and being able to book her. Luckily she doesnt book more than a year in advance, and we had one of the first appointments in january of 07 when she started taking appts for 08 weddings.

thats how we were with mariann, i emailed her over the summer and she said she wouldnt be booking 2010 till november, so we got the first appt in november and booked her. we were her first 2010 wedding she booked![]()

i MET WITH 4 (NOT COUNTING THE ONES AT BRIDAL SHOWS) BUT FROM THE GET-GO I KNEW WHO I WANTED...I JUST WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE OTHERS OFFERED AND BE SURE OF MY DECISION
Met with 2. Did a lot of research online prior. I knew who I wanted based on the pictures I saw here.
