So I am going through my list and I keep adding and taking one's off. Mind you I haven't visited a single one. I will only be on Long Island 3 days... and so far my list is at 23 reception halls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I was just curious.... How many did you visit before you decided on the one?
I only saw 2...I knew what I wanted. What are you looking for?

I made a spreadsheet with halls and questions I was going to ask. I think I had about 8 halls on there. We only ended up going to see 2. We knew once we saw it, and of course the price was right for us.

Oh soo many things...LOL!
I want an outdoor ceremony on site in the evening. I want it to have nice grounds.... prefer near water but nice gardens with footbrides (or gazebo) type of thing works too. I want good food (obviously) and nice classy decor. I like ones with lots of windows and skylights with neutral decor. From picture I liked for example the rooms in Ventian Yacht Club, Dome and Skylight Room Jericho Terrace, Winter Garden Room (I forget where that was). Those are the kind of thing I want. I am not into country decor or floral chairs... you know what I mean.
I just can't seem to cut my list. I keep finding new places. Som even out of my range but I was hoping maybe I can work a deal or see what pricing on other nights are. I am planning Friday night wedding in the summer of 2009 (most likely). I am flexible though so if I find my dream place I may have it a really off night or day... who knows.
See the problem??? LOL!

We saw 7, although we chose the 3rd one we visited and we kinda knew it was 'the one' but just saw other places to make sure... while the BM was giving us quotes and stuff i was super excited for what we were getting at the price! Sure enough that next weekend we went to go book it!

I looked at about 7. My second choice would have been Venetian Yacht club and 3rd choice was Woodbury but i fell in love with the Swan club. All the places you have on your list are gorgeous-= tough choice - good luck!
