FMIL is buying our favors. I found a few I like, of course I know it's prob gonna get thrown in a draw when our guests get home, but hey lol. Anyway, I found things from close to $2 for these cute glass coasters to almost $5 for a cake serving knife. What are you girls all spending? I don't want them to be too cheap.

I am actually having my videographer (friend of the family) create a video/picture montage on DVD of pictures of my FH and me. I'm going to use that as the favor instead of showing the montage during the reception cause I think that is tacky. That way everyone has pictures of us growing up and as a couple. I think it's going to be $250 overall. To me it's a more personal gift.

yea cause you know, I would really want to take home a DVD of baby pictures of a coworker/acquaintance, instead of sharing in the 'moment' with the couple. The DVD's make good throwing discs and I could probably use the case for some stray cd's I have laying around...
Guess we are all just typical Long Island and are way too tacky for our own good...so sad for us...

funny thing is...most of the people at the wedding are gonna look at the montage once and probably throw it out. I cant see some of my guests wanting to see pictures like that over and over. Call me tacky though cuz I plan on making a montage for my wedding..to be shown at the wedding

But Christine, dont you know?? Everyone who goes to a wedding wants numerous pictures of a couple in exchange for all the money you give as a gift...It's so the #1 thing on the 'what i want as a favor' list
Save the money...Do a donation...Or is being charitable tacky too??

ehh .. i thought i smelled popcorn...
make sure u add pix of u in the bathtub as a baby, your boss will REALLLY appreciate that.
ehh, to each his own... im not doing a montage cuz i think the baby pics thing is good for like a sweet 16..but its def not tacky. just my opinion.
if u girls do show pix of urselves.. try including pix where some of your guests at the wedding will be in. make sense?
