combined? I just heard that my next door neighbor who gave birth a few weeks ago only gained 15lbs!! I'm almost already at 15 weight gain and just starting my 2nd trimester!
I figure this has got to be out of the norm (I hope )!!
Oh and there's more... she already lost ALL the baby weight PLUS 5 lbs.

ive gained about 15 so far at 18 weeks too! I think it really depends on how you were before preggo. Im wondering too how much im going to gain I look a little preggo but not to people that dont know me yet. I def have a ways to go in terms of my belly size.

Don't compare to others...you just don't know. I hear people say that they only gained 15 lbs or less and their baby belly is huge in comparison to mine!! I am like how can that be. Some girls have lots of m/s in the beginning and lose weight early on. Some girls start eating healthy and lose weight early on. If your doctor says you are fine -- then don't worry about it.
I think I gained about 5-7lbs in my first trimester and I am alomst 36 weeks and I am just about 30lbs (not sure how much each trimester). Sounds like a lot to me esp when I see the scale but a lot of people tell me I carry small and look good and am all belly. I know my body and know I gained a little all over but the doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain. Also, baby is right now estimated at 6lbs 11 oz - so I may have a big baby brewing!

I really wouldnt try to compare.. for example.. I started out a little overweight and for the first two trimesters I LOST weight... Then about 6 and a half months I popped... i also had a 10lb. 5 oz baby... but thats a whole 'nother post!!!

i gained about 29 pounds but most of it was in the 2nd and third trimester i only gained 4 in the first

I have gained about 20lbs so far and I am at 30 weeks. I don't know how much in the 1st 2 trimesters, but you sound like you are doing good for 16 weeks. If overall gain is supposed to be b/w 25 -35lbs, even if you gain a lb a week you should still be in the normal range.

Definitely don't compare yourself. Each person is different, when I got preg with my 1 st born I weighed 104 lbs, when I ave birth I was 155. Everyone gains differently and for different reasons.
