How much is everyones dress?

If you dont mind my asking, because I just got back from bridal reflections in Carle Place and they told me my dress is going to be 5,000$$$ and then proceeded to tell me that it was the average price of a gown. This was the only place I've been to so I have nothing to compare it to. Thanx

wow.....i don't think that the average dress costs that much but maybe i'm wrong??? I know i love mine...its beautiful and it cost $700. If someone told me it was a $5,000 dress i'd believe them :) I would shop around and look at a few things first! My dress was a few hundred more at a different place as well...

I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and it was not even close to being that much. I'll FM you my price.

bridal reflections carle place the dresses are of the more expensive side- the massapequa store actually has more inexpensive gowns

i would say the average is probably around $1500 to $2000 - some girls find nice dresses for under a $1000 and some find for more than $5000

mine was expensive is what i will say and got it from the bridal reflections in carle place- but i fell in love with it before i learned the price

the $5000 average could be the average at the carle place store

That was what happened to me, I saw this dress and went on a hunt for it, and then I went there tried it on and then they told me the price, and now I dont know what to do. I have me heart set on it, but I couldnt imagine spending 5,000$$$ To wear a dress for one day

When I was at BR in Carle Place, they showed me dresses ranging from $2300-$4000, so I'm not surprised at the price they quoted you. Maybe it's the avg price of a dress at THEIR store, but even that's hard to believe because there are a lot of very expensive designers whose dresses they don't carry. I think it depends on which stores you go to.

Can I plug (for the third time today! a site that is amazing but I have no financial interest in) www.bridepower.com -- I know a couple of brides have used it on this site. Well my BF did and save a TON on her dress. These are very couture gowns and she gets them like a year or sometimes a season out. The woman who owns it will find any dress and it is at incredible savings. I asked about my dress but it was too new -- current season.
Anyway, they now have a new thing with clearance specials -- amsales and the like for under 500$

There was a dress I liked there and I found the same one at Flowerama in Glendale for $500 less.

They told me my dress was too new as well, the bridal store couldnt even find it. They actually found a sample from some runway show or something. Ive called places and they said pretty much same price. I'll post a pic of it

No actually the hem is gold, and the dress itself is antique ivory which it did look to brown against the gold, so if i were to order it, I'm just going to do the regular ivory. which is a big difference.

Did you call Burton's??? I found my dress like $350 cheaper there than at any other salon.

This dress is beautiful. It all depends upon your budget and your priorities.

My FH and I are saving to buy a house. Fortunately, the dress I fell in love with was $750. I would have had a hard time spending thousands on a dress I will wear for 12 hours instead of getting ourselves into a house a few months sooner. JMHO.
