mine was $598, it's by Ginza.
I agree with the 'you get what you pay for' but for me this is exactly what i want. My style is very simple - while i think that all these dresses are beautiful, i think if i got a really ornate dress, beautiful as it may be, my family would think 'why is she wearing that?' just because it wouldn't be my style...
I tried on a few more expensive, more detailed dresses, but they just weren't me - this one, however, everyone that has seen it has said, 'THAT is the dress'
Good luck with your decision though - it is a gorgeous dress, maybe you can find it, or a simliar dress somewhere else if you don't want to spend the money.
That is SO NOT FAIR!!! Mine was $150 more than that, and it's the same beautiful dress!

Its really all about if you like it and it looks good on you not the price... i have a friend who spent 9000. on a dress, and it looked horrible on her, she cared more about the designer name...

Re: How much is everyones dress?
If it is something you can afford then I say GO GOR IT ! - It's beautiful - you love itSo as long as you'll still be able to EAT for the next few months then do it !! - there is no 'average' price for a wedding gown.- it's all about what you can afford and what your priorities are. - Good Luck !!!

Re: How much is everyones dress?
Don't let anyone talk you into a dress.... You will know when you find the right one and there are dresses out there that are inexpensive... I found my dream dress at Lynbrook Bridal for only $580..... So keep looking I must have been to at least 10 before I found mine... Good Luck ...

Ok,I am convinced. My dress is sooo boring. But you do get what you pay for![]()
hahaa don't worry... i'm right with you on that one!!!![]()
OK- since I don't have a dress twin, you can be my inexpensive and practical, yet boring dress twin![]()
Post a pic!!!!!
CKGM, your dress is beautiful and very stylish!
Mine's not moviestar quality, but it's exactly what I had in mind and makes me feel like a bride. I paid right about in the middle range, but I would have been happy to pay big money for the perfect one.
Thanks you so much
You guys always make me feel better. I hope I am just going through a phase and will fall in love with my dress when I see it again.

Re: How much is everyones dress?
Between 800-900...plus tax and alterations it will be a bit over 1000. I actually found it before i got engaged while helping my sister pick out her wedding dress...i tried a lot of dresses on for her cause they were in my size...so much fun!!!!!

Re: How much is everyones dress?
I totally agree with LadyPrincess...I don't think i would ever pay $5000 for a dress that people will see me in once. I was very fortunate that my mother is paying for my dress and my daughter's...she told me she didn't care the cost, but I told her no more than $500. I had a whole idea of a dress when i went to my first shop, Lynbrook Bridal, none of the dresses I 'thought' i wanted looked good. My mother and coordinator picked out my dress, when i walked out the entire store stopped, and I cried when i saw myself...needless to say three shops later, I went right back and ordered the dress of my dreams. The cost: $499!! Where's the irony?!

I second Burton's. They came in at 60% less for my dress than any other salon on LI that carried it. I found Bridal Reflections to charge more for the same dresses than some other salons.
I'm with you both. Burton's has great prices and the service is great. Two of my cousins got their dresses there and they were beautiful! No problems at all with them :)
