Well I had to pay $125 and it's a 7 week thing that we have to attend and it begins next week for us!
But I think that is the general 'donation'.

I paid $75 for both of us, but that was down in MD and I am not sure if it varies from place to place.
FYI - when I signed up, I thought I was doing it pretty early (seven months before the wedding) and it turns out I should have done it MUCH earlier and we ended up driving pretty far and cutting it kind of close to the wedding. The sooner you sign up, the better.

We paid $75 - we are doing it in one weekend. We are doing it at our local chruch. The church we are getting married in also charges $75 I think its 4 weeks.

We are getting married in St. James, but are doing the pre-cana in NYC b/c that is where we live. We had to go through the Archdiocese of NY and it costs $150 for a one day thing on a Sat or Sunday from 9:30 am to 4:30 PM. They offer classes every few weeks. you can also do a three evening thing on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30 for $100. After hearing everyone else's prices, I think that the Archdiocese of NY is ripping us off!

From what I understand there are many different forms of Pre-Cana, and they vary in prices in the Diocese of Rockville Center. The one we chose was $100, and it's the once a week program, but I know there are some that are more expensive, like the weekend retreat.

We are only paying $50 for month long once a week sessions. I can't belive the differences in price! They call it a 'donation' I think that more than $100 is crazy. The church that we're marring in only requires $350 and the organist/vocalist is 150.

My churches 'donation' was $500.00.
It was $250.00 for the church and $250.00 for the soloist.
HERE'S THE KICKER....I didn't even use their soloist and I still had to pay the $250.00!

Hey---mine is $350 for the engaged encountered weekend. It is from Friday to Sunday early morning. Those three days covers it.

Mine was $125 for One -day precana and we have to gove a $500 Donation to the church also.

Ours is $30 for the Pre-Cana and a $500 donation to the church for the wedding. The donation also includes the musician. Edited to say: We are doing the once a week/four week thing.

We are doing the one time all day saturday pre-cana and are paying $125 for that and $400 (that includes soloist and organist) as the 'donation' to the church.

I'm glad this is being asked because I'm supposed to start THIS SUNDAY. I thought it was a little early since we aren't getting married until May. The fee is only $25 for us, but the 'donation' for when we get married is $300. How far in advance do you normally start classes?

I am getting married next Sept and we are going to do the day pre-cana in Dec. to get it over with and going to start the interviews with the Priest in Nov.
