How much is ur church 'donation' or 'contribution'? Yea know what u have to pay to get married there... I just found out what our church is and imy jaw hit the ground!!!!
$1000!!!!! Included the organist, soloist, deacon, and on top of that we have to give the priest money too. Whaaaatttt theeee h e l l ????

Actually, if it's a help to anyone, I'm about to be ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church (they have female clergy), so I know a lot about church rates. I would say that 750 is about average. Where are you getting married? If you're in the city, expect 1500-5000, but on Long Island, you should be able to be booking for about 500 for the place. I think the fact that you're getting a musician, deacon, etc., for 1000 is actually a good deal. Let me know if you have any more questions! d

$670 including the singer and organist. My mom'sfriend is going to sing and play piano, but we still have to pay the singer and organist fees.

ours is $625 because we don't belong to that church plus we have to pay the music dirctor (even if we dont use them0, singer and tip alter servies and priest...so it comes to around $900.00. good thing the church we are doing precana through does not charge.

Requested donation 300 Organist 350 (only if we use them) Pastor into his something account (can't remember) suggest 300
But I was told that if we can't afford it we can give whatever we want, except for the organist..that is a set price

U ladies brought up a lot of good points. The church is actuallt a cathedral in the city so I guess I should have expected it to be a bit more than what I thought it was gonna be. I feel a lil better about the price but still its a lotta dough...

My church is $500 and I think for the Cantor and Organist is like $125. Pre-cana is $60.
