How were you informed of your AFP results from the dr?

I took my test 2 wks ago and forgot to find out if they contact me regardless....or only if there's a problem.

Should I assume no news is good news? I feel like I call her office every week!

Were all of you contacted on the results?

Teri - I know what you mean - I feel like I am always calling my Dr.! I called for my AFP results two weeks after my test. My dr. called back to let me know all was well.

To ease your mind, I would call.

I would call to eae your mind. My doctors office does not call unless it's there is a concern. Otherwise No News is good news.

When I had my AFP test, they didn't let me know about the results, and when I went to my next appt I forgot to ask. So I called the office and my dr. said they don't usually mention it if all is ok.

Thanks ladies....I just called and they said my results are negative! YAY!

I was so unsure of even taking the test for fear of false positives so I'm very relieved everything's okay!

Teri - I am glad all is OK!!!!

I too was worried about the high rate of false postives on this test - I kept preparing my DH that if it came back positive not to worry too much!

Thanks! I think deep down I knew everything would be okay, but I really did not want to deal with the stress and more testing that would come along with a false positive (or any positive for that matter!)
