How would you feel.....UPDATE!!!

If your FH got invited to his friends wedding and they didn't invite you as well?

note: You and your FH have been engaged longer than the couple getting married.

Invite was addressed only to him there was no 'and guest', there was no 'and Ms.________'

um, that's beat up. i'd go anyway. wait...that's mean. i'd ask why you were left off....and not to be mean, but if they say no significant other is invited, then have your FH hold their card/check until the end...and if anyone else's girlfriend is there....tear it up...cause then they lied.

ok...i gave out slightly vengeful advice...but still...you should invite the date of anyone engaged or married...just dating for a few months, i'm not so worried about it...but once there's a ring involved, well, you should be invited.

I asked FH to double check... just to make sure, maybe they assumed we would know... but then why should I have to 'assume' I am invited!?!? I'm kind of insulted actually. Both their names were on our save-the-dates!!

WOW!! That is seriously rude! I can see not inviting single people with guests if you have limited funds, but that is crazy! Maybe your FH can ask his friend what's up....

Would LOVE for that if I wasn't invited, but he wouldn't do it He's even going to the BP party!

I would have your FH call his friend and ask. Sorry but that is just plain rude. I know a lot of girls believe that they are not obligated to invite someone with a guest - fine if a casual relationship- but downright rude if its a serious relationship- especially being engaged!!

Definitely ask. I'm vengeful too so you I would consider changing their invite to only one of them. See how they feel.

Unless my guests weren't sure who they were bringing, I made VERY sure I did not use 'and guest' for invites or placecards. I know how hurt we felt whenever we saw that.

Then again, I did make a mistake on one of my invites and didn't realize it until later. It could be an honest mistake that they would be embarrassed about if brought to their attention.

You should have your FH talk to them though.

I'd have him call the friend to make sure it wasn't an error, like previous posters said, errors do happen. If it wasn't an error, cross them off of your list!

I still would be upset though when the invitation was opened and it didn't have my name or and guest on it.

EXACTLY!!! And you know who is getting pissy with me because I keep asking him to find out. I told him this morning... look, the rsvp is in2 days, what am I supposed to do!!?

I understand how you feel but apparently plenty of brides here are doing the same thing. Inviting non married people alone because they don't have the budget to have people/friends bringing a guest.

ETA: I even read posts about how rude it is to impose yourself or RSVP with '2' when no guest was invited.
