Oh my goodness this is terrible. Her wedding is in March. Maybe we can all work together here starting tomorrow to help her out, and call places to find out if they are available for the date...just in case?

oh my god, i just read all the rest of the mesages from last moght! i don't know what to do, i can't even tell my mom cause i think she will have a heart attack right at work. i started calling some halls but most of the menagers aren't in till noon. my Fi is going to drop by RCC at lunch just to see what happened. LIWeddings, please PLEASE let me know what is happening and thank you SO MUCH for being there for me!

WhatNow, don't totally freak out, but if you can't get in touch with them, totally start calling halls to find out if they are available and if they can offer you a discount for booking so late. Start doing it now, so that you won't be as overwhelmed later, when you do find out for sure.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! Also, you may or may not need to send updated info to the guests, if you already sent the invites out.

Oh my God- how horrible is this! Did they not want to call anyone and tell them b/c they probably don't have the $$ to give back!!!

well, so far there 2 places that are available on my date.and I did tell my mom and she DIDN't have a heart attack! In fact, she also taking action, calling people! GO, Mom!

Milleridge inn ( never saw it) and Swan Club ( we saw it before). Jerico terrace' manager isn't in till 12 so, may be they have something! My mom is calling a few catering halls in Brooklyn we knew of that are nice and respectable. I am so mad at RCC. Like rats, they just leave the ship and don't even tell us what happened! We are definitely taking action! After we find a new hall!

whatnow, any interest in NJ halls? I have visited a few, but its not on LI and may prove difficult for a few vendors (such as florists)

I don't know if you're interested but I was speaking to my banquest manager this weekend at Crest Hollow in Woodbury and he said they are very slow in March so that might be an option too! You can ask for Leo if you call there 516-692-8000. GOOD LUCK and let me know if you need anything else!!
