IMHO i would not get it. I just feel it is to new, and i dont want to be a guinea pig. What if there are side effects down the road, what if it can hurt fertility. I am not one for hopping on the band wagon when it comes to new vaccinations. The company making it though is making a fortune.

my mom and my friend are both nurses and I asked both and they each individually- highly recommended it- it has been tested and its safe. most important it can save you from getting cervical cancer

and someone mentioned that they had HPV, there are a lot of different strains of it and only 4 of them are known to give you cervical cancer and they can live in your system without showing up- so I would still talk to your gyno.

I AM ONE LESS too!

I got all three of my shots. I think it is very safe to get. It doesnt help all types of cervical cancer but better safe than sorry.

But I know someone who has it and the worst cancerous kind and she is very laid back about it. I dont think I would ever be laid back if my gyno told me I had HPV?! Is it just me or do some people not think it's a big deal

I guess everyone thinks differently...
For me, I was freaked when they told me I had it... I found out during my pregnancy and of course I cried over and over and over.... I didnt know if anything could happen to my baby, etc...
After I had my daughter it was still there.. So I had to go for a biopsy and all these things.....
Thankfully the biopsy came back good and there was no cancer..... I was petrified of it....
I was told to get pregnant again or possibly not having a chance for any more kids....But Im ok now that its gone...
It is really scary.... One never knows until they are in that position....

I am too old I am def. wanting my little sis to get it. She is 18!!
