I would see what is available for your date first and see what is out there within your budget and decide from there. Good luck!

Don't do it! You are at the 6 month mark. This is where all the busy-ness starts to happen. You are going to get consumed by a lot of wedding stuff right around now and in the next few months. Don't start searching for a new place. I also used a photog that no one on here used before, and I was nervous, but our pics came out great and I am glad I went with my gut.

I am another SMCC bride.

Our wedding was in sept and people are still talking about how wonderful the food and service was at the wedding. They put on a very nice affair, the food (I heard) was delicious. The service was atentive without being pushy. ANd I agree with NYCChis - James is wonderful.

We booked SMCC before I ever heard of ANYONE getting married there.

Of course I am not trying to talk you into staying with SM but can assure you, you will not be disappointed if you do.

The place looks beautiful. I think most brides second guess a lot of their decisions regarding the wedding. We just want everything to be perfect.I'm sure it will be.

I've never been there but it looks beautiful. I have a friend who was married there and she loved it. I'm indecisive too so I understand how you're feeling but it seems like a good choice and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful day.

I think the place looks beautiful too.
I think that I'm the ONLY bride on here that's getting married at my site AND it was given a bad review and I'm STILL 100% confident with my choice.

Try not to second guess your decisions, especially with 6 months to go and still a bunch of other things to do. You'll make yourself crazy.

BTW, it DOES look beautiful and very elegant.

I am sure SMCC is great - all the reviews I read have been awesome. If you would feel better looking at more places then you should, otherwise you would always be wondering.

We knew Bridgeview was the place for us as soon aswe walked in, adn I think I am the only person here using it.

Why did you cancel them?

Wacky, I started to have doubts about my site too, b/c I hardly ever see it mentioned on this board!!! However, I think it is going to be beautiful, it was a big decision to make, and you must have felt good about SMCC if you chose your site!! But definitely look around if you feel unsure. I think although this site is WONDERFUL, it tends to add to my vendor/site stress also b/c there are SO many different options discussed here-I'm one of those people who would be better off if there were less options!! Same thing happens in a restaurant with a big menu!!! Good luck, and hang in there!!!

Well I'm going to be married there in 4 1/2 months & I can't wait. I was at my BF wedding there in Oct 2001. Before we were even engaged & both John & I thought to ourselves. If we DO get married it will be here. The food is great. Their cocktail hour ROCKS!!! SO MUCH TO CHOOSE!! And then there is the bonus that you said that yours is the only wedding (that's a BIG + in my book)
If you want to change your mind that's fine. But just make sure both you & your husband agree on what you like. It's SO common to drive yourself crazy wondering if you made the right choice. I've done that about ALMOST EVERY choice! (except of course Stewart MAnor )

After seeing those pictures I wish I had looked at SMCC. See what you've done, now you have me second guessing myself!
I think everyone second guesses themselves on some aspect of their wedding. I am sure you made a great choice and I would say that you should stick with SMCC unless there is something about it that you really really can't live with.

Like everyone said we all second guess our decisions, you just have to stick to why you chose it in the first place and don't worry about what everyone else says, it's your wedding. Besides, everyone has different tastes so what one person may love, someone else might hate.
