We are getting married there in less then 3 months and I also had my doubts, but it seems I doubted others things, I think it just goes with all the territory of wedding planning and just something else to stress you out.

the fact that you dont see alot of brides getting married there is a good thing to me, A BIG Plus I rather get married at a place not many of my guest have been to before and none of my friends have gotten married at.

there are some places that everyone in my neighborhood gets married at, I even though they are probably great I stayed away and didnt even check out cause I was sick of going to them.


I am so Happy with my choice and cant wait for the big day, and I absolutely Love the decor, I am a simple and classic style type and SMCC fit perfectly into my idea of a Perfect Wedding location.

I know how you feel, I am getting married at Larkfield Manor- aside from the crazy random poster and like three other brides (now including LisaAnne, hooray), most people have not heard of it. I love it there though, and I think part of what I like is getting married somewhere different. I say stick w. your original choice, it looks beautiful and I am sure you will have a wonderful day.

I actually looked at Larkfield Manor, I heard great things from my Aunt. It was wonderful, just too far for us.

You will always have your doubts but that is going to happen when planning one of the most important days of your life. There is sooo much choice in terms of wedding locations, dresses, types of food, photogs, florists, cakes that it is easy to have doubts about your decisions. Just trust your instinct about the place and go with it. It looks beautiful from the pictures. At this point, you should be concentrating on the many other aspects of the wedding - namely invitations, BM dresses, your own fittings, flowers, programs, readings and music for ceremony. Maybe you should order your invites this way you CAN'T change the location once they are printed!

Wacky - I think you should stick to your original instincts.... You obviously picked that place for a reason.
I know I have second thoughts all the time - that maybe we should've chose this place or that. I think it's just natural because with all the planning that goes in to 'your day'... you want to make sure you pick the best place.
