I was just watching ' my fair wedding' with David Tuttera and the bride on the show picked the same color from davids bridals as I did for my bridemaids dresses and he HATED IT!!!
I thought it was a beautiful color - it is a blue callled horizon and he said on the show that you need sunglasses to look at it!
I loved it but now I am so upset!!!!
I watch this show religiously because I love his ideas - but know I am so sad about my color.
are there any other brides using the horizon color from davids bridal ?

Oh eff David Tutera, he's such a little snot, even if he does beautiful work!
That's a gorgeous color and you def. do NOT need sunglasses. I've seen a similar color in pictures recently and it photographed so beautifully! It's a vibrant color!
ETA: David Tutera absolutely HATES green, hates it and of course half my wedding stuff is green. Oh well!

If I am going to get the bm dressed ffom David's Bridal that was the color I was going to pick. I think it is a really pretty color. Don't be upset.

Honestly.. he says he hates EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Even if it's pretty.. he says he hates it anyway..
On that exact show.. the bridesmaids said that they liked their dresses..and he was like 'They obviously hate their dresses'.. Um.. What? I'm pretty sure they just both said 'I LIKE MY DRESS'.

Just wanted to say I just saw the episode of what you're talking about on my fair wedding and I have to say I LOVE the color you picked for the BM dress! I liked it MORE than the color he ended up picking out..it's your day do what you love! I definitely think YOU made a great color choice!!!

I'm using that color from DB! It's funny, I see it on the hanger and I'm like 'wow, that's bright,' but when it's actually on my girls I LOVE it! I think it's going to look great in pictures. I also chose it because my wedding is at The Vineyards and I figured any light pastelish color would get lost or blend with the scenery. I saw that episode of MFW also, and it made me second guess for a minute too!!!

My bridesmaids are using that color and I think that it looks beautiful. I could not be happier with the dresses and I do not even think that the color is bright. I am somewhat conservative with things and I would never pick something tacky. I am really disappointed to hear that, because I liked him. However, I generally do not agree with half of the things that he says. His job is to criticize and change almost everything. Oh well.
