With 4 days till the wedding I just had 3 people drop out of coming to the wedding. Im seriously beside my myself
I just wanted to add that it's not the fact that we might be losing this money that has gotten me so upset. The main reason Im upset is because the 3 people who dropped out were people that my FH has known his whole life! He's know these people since he was a baby! And the son in this trio is one of FH's close friends! I just dont want you girls thinking this is a $$ issue. Its not.

One of my BMs couldn't come to the RD because her 5 year old daughter's biopsy got moved up to July 23rd. . .so she had to rush her daughter to Stony Brook in order to start weaning her off of drugs immediately. What can you do at that point? Say no, you're out of the wedding because your daughter is sick?
One of my dad's BFFs dropped out two days before because he started getting sick--just had cancer surgery. Again, what can you do? At that point, their health has to come first. It is what it is, and your day will be AWESOME no matter what.
This is not some serious thing like what you are talking about. When I text him to find out if he really wasnt coming (yes he didnt even have the balls to call us himself we heard through other people) he said it was a small surgery and that he might still come. Well we all know if you go into a hospital on a weekend the earliest you will get out is monday because the dr.'s arent reallly there on the weekends.

UGH, that s/ucks!!! And it's like gestapo RH strikes again, never bending the rules to help you out with taking the plates home. I'm sorry that this happened

Aw Gail that stinks. The truth is, this happens to almost everyone! Don't let it get you down!!! This is your time!!! Once in a lifetime!!!!!!!! One of my mom's oldest friends, an OOT guest flying in from California with her husband, canceled the DAY AFTER we paid in full (the Tuesday before our Friday wedding). Their reason? Their doctor recommended they not fly to New York because of the Swine Flu outbreak. The first thing I said was, 'omg, is ___ ok?' Because only if someone is like, a cancer patient or has some other illness that affects their immune system, etc. then that would actually be a valid reason. Nope, she and her husband are just fine and have no health issues to speak of! Kerrijohns and her FH ended up taking their place thank goodness! I had told Kerri MONTHS ago that I just knew someone would back out after we had paid, and to keep that date free! Sure enough it happened! But I thought it was great bc Kerri and John got to come!! Then after that however, we had about 4-5 other cancellations before the wedding, and about 6 no shows. Nice huh? So be prepared, and whatever you do, don't let it get you down!! Don't let ANYTHING get you down mama!! You are gonna GLOW!!!!! I've never heard that you don't get to take home food though, that's CRAZY!! The Royalton packed up lots of food for us to take home. It happens....I had 3 people cancel and another 3 not show up the day of....
And to tell you the truth I didnt even notice. It happens to just about everyone. My RH didnt do anything and oh well.....I wasnt going to let it ruin my day
