I can't find a RH that I love yet!?!? Uggggh

Hi girls!!

So I've probably gone to 10 reception halls already and haven't found one that I absolutely LOVE everything about! All of them have pros and cons about them but I don't think I'll find everything in one place. We've been looking for a month now which I don't know if that's too long or not enough time, but I fee like I've covered all the halls on long island already! My FH is from OOT, so I didn't want to go too far out east.

We've looked at Fox Hollow, Jericho Terrace, Chateau Briand, Crest Hollow Country Club, North Ritz Club, Lenoards, Verdis, Larkfield Manor, Chateau La Mer, Manor, Lombardi's and Venetian Yacht Club.

I love the room at JT but think it might be a little tight and there is no outside area .... love Venetian but not as much food as JT. Ugggh! Haha.

Someone mentioned the Watermill - so hopefully we'll look there this weekend. Any suggestions of places I should look at?

Did this take you as long to find a place??

I agree with Westbury Manor (I was sold on it because of their gardens and reputation). Also Thatched Cottage has a nice outside.

maybe try the Old Field Club or the Inn at New Hyde Park

Go to Giorgio's at Fox Hill and meet with Robert....I was in the same boat as you, 10 RH's under my belt, exhausted and frustrated!!!!! We went to Giorgio's and fell in love...definitely check it out. FM if you want more info :)

I'm just tired of the same schpeel you get when you look at these places! LOL And some of these experiences were like used car salesman! Good thing my FH and I have a sense of humor that we just laugh about it!!

What area? Nassau? Queens? Suffolk? Brooklyn?

We looked at a lot of nice places but we were looking for bigger halls. Some seemed a bit small for our guest list.

We really liked Dyker Heights Golf Club in Brooklyn, but it was a bit too small for us.

My FH's family is from NJ ... 2 hrs to Nassau county. So we were looking in Nassau and not too far out in Suffolk.

I didn't look in Queens or Brooklyn - I don't know of any places there besides Russo's of course!

Giorgio's...They just finished redoing the outside area. It is beautiful...You can do both the ceremony and cocktail hr outside...

THIS - except I met directly with George Jr. I seriously looked at 10 RH before Giorgio's anda then got there and it was PERFECT.

Water's Edge in Queens and Dyker Heights Golf Club in BK - both very pretty!!!!

El Caribe in Brooklyn is supposed to be very nice. I'm going to a wedding there in September.

What room at JT do you like? I think there rooms can def. fit large numbers. FH and I went to a wedding there in 2009 and we were in the penthouse room. They had almost 250-300ppl and we didn't feel crammed.
