I can't find a RH that I love yet!?!? Uggggh

Hi girls!!

So I've probably gone to 10 reception halls already and haven't found one that I absolutely LOVE everything about! All of them have pros and cons about them but I don't think I'll find everything in one place. We've been looking for a month now which I don't know if that's too long or not enough time, but I fee like I've covered all the halls on long island already! My FH is from OOT, so I didn't want to go too far out east.

We've looked at Fox Hollow, Jericho Terrace, Chateau Briand, Crest Hollow Country Club, North Ritz Club, Lenoards, Verdis, Larkfield Manor, Chateau La Mer, Manor, Lombardi's and Venetian Yacht Club.

I love the room at JT but think it might be a little tight and there is no outside area .... love Venetian but not as much food as JT. Ugggh! Haha.

Someone mentioned the Watermill - so hopefully we'll look there this weekend. Any suggestions of places I should look at?

Did this take you as long to find a place??

I think it would help if we knew what you were looking for. That said, I loooove Bridgeview yacht club.

Agree!! That place is great!

I had mine at the Allegria and it was AMAZING!

Its been said, but i Love my RH (Sand Castle).

A month is nothing! We got engaged in June, prob started looking at places in Aug....and booked last month.

Take your time and enjoy!!!

It really didn't take me long, but I knew what I wanted from the beginning.

Check out The Inn at New Hyde Park.

I was blown away the moment I stepped in the door.

It was out of our budget, but we said, what the hell, you only do this once

FH and I took two days and 5 RHs to decide. We basically liked everything we saw so after the 2nd day and seeing The Village Club, we put down a deposit and cancelled other appointments.

I saw the Inn at NHP and LOVED it! It could possibly have been 'the one' but the dates available weren't that great for us!!

My opinion is that no matter where you have you're wedding, it will be perfect!!! My FH said that to me after each of the RH we visited.

This place is right doen th eblock from me and I have been hearing nothing but praises!

I also think you might like the Watermill!

Inn at New hyde park
Stewart Manor Country Club

if you want very nice grounds and an outdoors area, the swan club

I looked at 9 RH's in one week! FH and I both fell in love with the Woodlands although I had to look at other places just to have piece of mind. It's on about 120 acres and it's a 1920's gold coast mansion...it's on a golf course so lots of grounds, lots of trees and flowers and lakes...its gorgeous, and Woodbury isn't too far into Nassau County. Check it out! I think it fits like 300 people.

I heard Flowerfield is very beautiful. You can also check Bridgeview Yacht Club if you want something on the water.

we looked at TONS of places. finally went to sand castle. originally didnt want to look there b/c i heard that it was 'tacky'

but it was not.

definitely blew the other contenders out of the water

they give you soooo much

the food and service and place is beautiful!!!

one wedding at a time

beautiful outdoor area

VIP hospitality hour included

venetian hour is SICK amazing

and you get a honeymoon at their property in greece!

def check it out for yourself

I wanted to thank you ALL for your input and help!!! We did look at a few more, but I went with my feelings of what felt right and we booked the North Ritz Club!!

Glad you finally found something!

I know what you went through! I went to 30 places and each one wasn't quite right... and after a while it was like ' Just skip the spiel, I know how this works... I just want to see the place and the menu' lol...

But it feels great to finally book, doesn't it!!
