At this point I could care less about the wedding and the glitz and glamour.. all I want it it to be married to my honey and everyone to gt the Fuk off my back.
All im rally waitng for is 11/11 so that I can wake up next to my sweety away form everyone.. just be him and eventually our new family!

ETA: its not the wedding thats stressing me at all.. its the people i have to deal with. I kow the kindof person I am and I forgive but I dont foget... and im really starting to resent people more and more everyday.
I see people posting about being sad about packing to move and all i can think about is... i cant wait to get the fuk outta here!!! Both sides of the family willbe lucky if we visit them every couple of weeks

I can relate! i totally hear you!
I went through a lot of drama about a month ago and all i could think about was just wanting to elope and to get on with my life already. i just want to be married and be with my fi everyday.

so, i got my eye on the prize! whenever bs drama comes up, i shake it off b/c nothing is more important than spending the rest of my life with my honey. all the stupid wedding crap will not get in my way.

soon enough you will be together forever...this is part of the journey

I thought I was the only one! I'm actually having 2 weddings because my FMIL doesn't want to go to my destination wedding, so we are having a separate wedding for my FH side of the family here and one for my family in Ireland (the one here is very low key - started with 14 people and somehow jumped up to 34) I keep giving in, but now I'm at the point that I am just done giving in! I told his both sets of parents the day we got engaged that the moment they made this process stressful on me and took the fun out of it that we would elope and no one would be invited! But after the deposit was made to my RH I didn't have it in me to back out! I'm already stressed trying to plan a wedding that is 3,000 miles away and I really don't need anything or anyone adding to it! !

I've felt this way for the longest time. We've had a 2.5 year engagement and thank God it's almost over! I am so happy now that the time is almost here and I'll finally be his wife. for all the stress.

Penny I am sorry that people are bringing you down. Its stinks but it seems like weddings bring out the worst in people. I hope that everything and everyone goes away and leaves you guys alone.

Just keep your head up, you are an intelligent beautiful girl who has NO REASON to be anyones punching bag!

sorry that you feel this way- The next time someone tries to pawn their opinions off on you tell them you'll think about it & then do what you want.
Let what they say go in one ear & out the other. I HATED wedding planning in the begining b/c everyone was ruining it for me- People had negative comments about my plans & ideas. Screw them, it's about you & FH. You want to be able to look back at your wedding pics & be glad that you made the right choices for yourself.

I know what you mean hun!! I can't wait to say 'I DO'!

At least I'm not the only one. All three parents gave us crap about a destination wedding. All we wanted was out immediate family and a few close friends on a beach! And now we are stuck with this very expensive, 250 person LIWedding!!! Exactly what we didn't want. But now I must say I am into it, taking all advice with a grain of salt. The only opinion that matters to me is FH. I'm not and won't let anyone ruin this for me.

We will all make it thru this proccess, with laughs, tears and maybe a drop of blood! But millions of brides have made it thru and we will too. at least we have each other to vent to and we all know what the other is going thru. So hears to all of us, in this boat together!!!
