This is for those who are already married as well as those who are still planning.

Newleyweds - Did you regret having a DJ even if they did a great job?
Bride's to be - Are you regreting booking a DJ because you would have rather spent the money on a band?

I am torn - what we want for the DJ is going to run us at least $3500 and I was offered a great band for my CH and my 4 hour reception for $4500 for my date. I feel like $1000 in the whole scheme of things really isn't that big of a deal. Any opinions?

I haven't booked my dj..but honestly i think i would second guess myself also!! $1000 could be little to some people and alot to others..it really depends on your budget..if you have the money i say go for it!

I am going to be booking a dj bc I think my friends will like it alot. we are really young..so i want young music, ya know? I just dont feel like a band gives off that vibe..i dont know

well if you would prefer a band then go for it, and if you dont mind spending the extra money then do what makes you happy.

PERSONALLY-I prefer Dj's, i do like some bands dont get me wrong and dont think there is anything wrong with it...Ive been to a wedding with a band and danced all night, also saw this one band at a bridal showcase last week and thought they were so good...But for me and my taste of music its hard to do a band so that is why...I mean how would i play reggae songs lol, or how about some house songs, and i love rock and yes some songs are easy but some eh i dont know about that....It would be hard to get a dj to do all that plus I LOVE hip-hop, now i wont go crazy with it at my wedding but i def want some hip-hop played ya know.

yeah exactly, fh likes house songs with just the beats like final chapter or derb...and yeah getting a band that does a sean paul song, tribe called quest-scenario, and slipknot-vermillion is hard lol
