i don't like my dress anymore

ugh.

i don't know what's up with me. i don't think i like my dress anymore. but with exactly 6 months to go, there's not much i can do.

i have a big tulle ballgown and now i wish i had gotten a smaller, a-line gown. i feel huge in the darn thing. it pulls me into a weird hourglass shape which makes my waist look small, but the rest of me look monstrous.

here's one pic where i looked pretty happy about my dress:

i just don't know. i already switched my photographer, which i KNOW was a great decision. i don't know if i'm just stressed out (i am) or if i really don't like it.

when i bought it, i really really liked it...but didn't love it. but i couldn't find anything else i liked better for weeks, so i got it.

If it helps make your decisions any easier.... The dress looks fantastic on you... and you do not look monstrous in anyway ... at all... BTW, you are my date twin. YAY! I say... don't stress about the dress... it looks phenomenal.

my brother's fiance just ordered a dress for april '06 so it's not too late... but I think it looks great on you! granted it's important, but you're only wearing it for one day! Don't stress!

I really like the dress you picked! I think it looks really nice on you. I felt so big in every ball gown I tried on. I thought I looked ridiculious, but everyone else I brought shopping, thought I looked beautiful.

Hunny don't worry about it! You seriously look great in it! I think you would look even better if you wore your hair half up half down with curls! The dress does not make you look huge! It's a princess dress!

I saw that dress on you at Lillettes and it was (and still is) absolutely gorgeous! It is so flattering! An hourglass figure it not bad - don't you want to have a little bitty waist? And the rest of you does not look monstrous so don't even think it. I wish I could've pulled off a ballgown.

I felt the same way about my dress , but when i went to my last fitting i felt a little better about it, then the day of i loved it. I think it's hard after you find 'the dress' to actually see it fitted and stuff without the whole picture. I actually went to one of my fittings the same day i did my makeup and hair trial this way i saw what it would look like and that really helped too. Plus your dress is stunning, i think worrying about it is all part of the process

Ohhh sweetie, listen we all as brides have our moments where we hate 'everything'. But believe me you look BEAUTIFUL in your dress!!!! It's gorgeous. I know in a week or so you'll fall in love with it all over again!!!!

You look gorgeous! That dress isn't huge at all...it's beautiful, and you look like a princess. I'm going through the same thing right now because my seamstress has to add a strip to the top of my dress from my hem to cover my bust. I just keep telling myself that there was no more beautiful dress for me out there.

thanks everyone for your nice words.

i don't know what it is...i just don't feel it. it's hard to walk around in. i don't even have my slip on with it...and the slip is MONSTROUS!! it's n.y.bride's and it's as big as the dress. ahhhh!!!!!

i just feel like i'm going to look like a guidette. with my tiara, hair all up and this monstrous dress, i think it's too much. and i have been searching for a veil to match for months!! i make the poor woman at lilettes crazy each time i go in. she's such a sweetheart thank god for dealing with me.

i just don't see many pics of brides in tulle ballgowns so that doesn't help me. i wish there were more. i'm one of those people who doesn't like to be the only one doing something. i like to blend in.

sweetie it's your wedding day you are not suppossed to blend in. YOu are supposed to stand out and be beautiful. What other time are you going to be able to look like a princess in a tulle gown. It is stunning and with time you will love it all over again. I know its hard, like i said i was going through teh same thing. If you think its too big with the slip, maybe dont wear it. The next time you go to try on your dress where it for as long as you want, i had mine on for 45 min. moving around etc. Dont stress over this and maybe try getting hair and makeup trials the samw day as your fitting, i promise it will help

I absolutely love your dress and absolutely love tulle ballgowns!! i am going to be wearing one. Your wedding day is the one day where you should stand out, not blend in, but of course you should also feel comfortable.

I remember when i first started coming on this site seeing one of your posts and the first thing i noticed was the dress in your avatar pic and thinking how much i LOVED it!
