I find NYE to be overrated or a night for amatuers. Not to say I didn't have a lot of fun New Years Eves in the past. The last few years FH and I stayed in and cooked or ordered food and it was so nice and relaxing.

We will be doing the same this year.

ITS FUNNY bc when my dad heard we were going to a house party he was like why dont you go out to a club in the city or something and i said I NEVER do clubs in the city on NYE, they are over-rated and its amateur night at the clubs on NYE...and fh said he was proud that i said that, like hes the only one who used to party

OMG clubs in NYC on NYE=crazy drunken people, fights etc etc

its ridiculous bc they'll charge $100-150 just to get in...the lines are insane and the place gets so crowded you can't move...it is amateur night lol

yeah we''re just going to the poconos to go skiing and get out of the city for the weekend. 3 other couples are coming also so we can just chill and relax

My parents, sis and BIL, aunt, uncle and cousin so every year. My mom has comp rooms too bec she goes there alot. I never went with them I really dont like to gamble but I did go to AC with my friends and stayed over and had a blast. I gambled but Im not obsessive I just did it for fun, but the people there are complusive. I think I will go.

yeah i avoid clubs in the city at all costs on NYE...i am clubbing tonight in astoria though so we'll get the dancing out of our systems right before NYE...somehow i ALWAYS go to a club right before NYE, usually its dec 30th

I always feel like an idiot saying that but its true. If you would never go out on a random saturday night or even a random week night then why are you out on NYE? I used to be able to tolerate it but I don't have the patience anymore. Once we have a house we will have NYE parties.

Totally agree!!! I don't go out every Friday and Saturday so why New Years Eve. Everything is always so expensive compared to the rest of the year. Drunk drivers scare me to death so I'd rather no take any chances. Hanging with my FH and family is perfect for me.

lol yeah alot of AC is like that...i mean even walking on the boardwalk in the daytime its shady...Thats why alot of ppl stick to just staying at the borgata which is real nice and the clubs are real good too...the new club providence in tropicana is real nice too. Other than that i would stay away from alot of the other places...I would suggest MurMur in the borgata

I hate it. I hate the pressure of planning something. And I hate that it falls so close to Christmas, which makes it soooo difficult to plan because you're too busy shopping and making plans for christmas to even think about nye until, like, today.

I think we are just going to go to a bar in huntington - i live 5 mins fromthe village - and go home at 12:15. I want to find a place that isn't doing ANYTHING SPECIAL, just a place that I can go to to ring in the new year and then go home.

Does anyone else feel very depressed on new years day???? I hate that day. Such a let down after christmas and nye.

Well there's prostitutes everywhere in AC...Vegas too, it's big business in those places. Bu they don't bother anyone....unless you're looking for them. But the Tropicana is really nice and has really nice restaurants and clubs, it's been totally redone over the last couple of years. Never been to Ceasars down there so I can't say either way.

I get really emotional on NYE. I've had a lot of bad luck and have lost a lot of really close people to me for the past 3 years now. I'm hoping this year will be the start to some good luck maybe we'll see.
Anyway I've done a lot of fun stuff through the years on NYE and really these days I would be perfectly content just staying home relaxing and watching the ball drop.

Its soo funny bec the next morn we all went for breakfast and couldnt find a place to eat. You would think AC would have restaurants too but they didnt have many. I think this was trop or ceasars. But I did like to gamle at the Trop, lots of fun

yeah the new tropicana is real nice and great restaurants...the carmines there is SOOOO good, much better than the one in the city.

caesars itself is nice too...they have TONS of shops there and big designer shops and all that...plus they also have good restaurants...the problem with caesars though is its location and its closer to alot of not so great places
