Ok, so I leave work last night and I am driving to my moms on Northern Blvd. I'm about a car length and 1/2 away from the guy in front of me (I am notorious for hitting people from behind and I am now learning my lesson to not drive so freakin close AND I ALWAYS ADMIT WHEN I AM AT FAULT). Out of my passenger window, I see a guy in a black Jetta pull up next to me. He speeds up and starts to move over. As he starts to move over, I beep because he is going to hit me (there wasn't enough room for him to get in. So I am leaning on my horn as I begin to slow down. The @sshole gets mad that I beep, SLAMS on his brakes and I NAIL the douchebag. We pull over, I call 911 and tell the lady to get a cop here ASAP or I'm going to hurt the other driver. The cop gets there, the guy LIES to him about what happened. He says that the car in front of him slowed down so he slowed down. I then said to the cop in my detective voice. if he 'slowed down, how come there are SKID marks on the pavement, he intentionally jammed his brakes and he wanted me to hit him.' The cop told me to get back in my car because I was 'too excited'. Ya damn right I am excited... ok, anyway, the cop then comes back to my window and says, 'there is less than $1000 of damage to each car. I recommend that you just pay for his damage and not go through insurance. My exact response was, 'I am not paying that @sshole a f*cking penny for his careless and reckless driving.' The cop said, well, no matter what happened, it's your fault you hit him from behind. Then, my emototions took over, I got out of the car, went by the back of his car, called my mom near his OPEN window and proceeded to tell her what happened and then ended the call saying very loudly, 'IT'S OK MA, GOD IS WATCHING AND KARMA IS A *****.' the guy turned around and looked at me and rolled his eyes.
The cop gave me back my info first and stayed to talk to the guy, so I left. 3 minutes later the SAME DOUCHEBAG rides up to me, on my @ss, and cuts me off again. I refrained from killing him, but I hope the police report doesn't say where he lives, because I may then take karma into my own hands.
Sorry it's so long... I had to vent.

So sorry to hear that. Some people can be horrible...OK A LOT of people. The things they do on the road these days is so frightening. People are crazy!

I hate that!!! I'm so sorry but at least you are OK with minimal damage to your car. I am really anxious about driving because I've been in 2 accidents (only minor injuries but the car i was riding in -- i was a passenger in both -- was totalled in each accident). Both were the other car's fault for not looking.
Anyway, there is construction near my apartment so they repainted the lanes and they curve, rather than blocking off one lane long term. I know this because I drive it every day, but some idiot wasnt paying attention and didnt realize the lanes curved so he thought i cut him off. He started cursing at me, honking his horn, and wouldn't let me change lanes (i needed to switch R so i could get off at my street). I started freaking out because every time i would signal and start to move over he would speed up or slow down to screw with me. I started flipping out and told FH I would keep driving straight until I lost him, even though it was going into a bad neighborhood and I would pass my apt.
I FREAKING HATE A-S-S-HOLE DRIVERS LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!! just be glad you are ok

Some guy tried getting me to pull over last year. I wouldn't.... so he pulled up behind me and tapped me intentionally. At the very next light, there happened to be a cop on foot patrol. I motioned for him to come over .The cop actually told me that even though it was the guys fault-there was no proof that he did it on purpose and it would raise my insurance if I filed a complaint. And he suggested that I give this idiot my information, so he can arrange to pay for it. Hmmm, let's give my address out to some idiot who tried getting me to pull over? That's smart.

people are NUTS. Absolutely nuts. What drove me bonkers was I knew this moron was sitting in his car just laughing that I had to pay for his ALREADY effed up bumper.
And I was thinking the same thing. yeah, officer, I'm going to give this psycho my info. that is a GREAT idea...

Me and my mom were in a car accident a few years back where the man cut us off ( I wasnt driving) and then came to a complete stop in the rain t! Needless to say, we rear ended him, my mom ended up with her head split open and luckily there was an off-duty cop driving behind us who was a witness to the whole thing or the blame would have been on my uncle who was driving cause unfortunately, the blame is always on the one who does the rear ending no matter what. Its such bull. If you find out the guys address, Ill help you beat him up. You should have called the police and reported that he tried to run you off the road later just to have it in the report! Sorry that happened to you. And karma is a biatch so I feel sorry for him.

I BET!! I have been threatened to be taken in by police officers so many times cause I get so crazy, FH has to hold me back at times. Traffic issues are very touchy to me! (Yes, Im a road rager but only at really really stupid drivers!)
