I had my shower yesterday!

Hi, ladies. I finally had my shower yesterday. I was getting a little nervous because I really thought my mom and my sisters would have done it back in November but they purposely waited longer to throw me off. It was a wonderful day. They had it at a little Italian restaurant in Babylon called Francesco's. They did a great job. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. Somehow they managed to feed 55 hungry women at the same time- not one person had to wait for their food.
As favors, my bridal party filled little decorative vases with daisies (one vase for each guest) and they also wrapped up little black and white cookies.

Well-since that is over it means the wedding is really coming fast! I can't wait!

You're right, Francesco's is an awesome place. I live right around there, so FI & I order take-out from there at least once a week!!!

I got wonderful gifts. Everyone was very generous.
I loved getting my china and silverware place settings. But I have to say-the stuff I really enjoyed was the sentimental gifts.

For example, the first gift was my BMs gave me a basket and they each had two sets of candles each that were all different colors. They had a poem for each set of candles and each set represented a special occasionthat we should light the candles for; like our first christmas together as husband and wife; our first valentines together as husband and wife, the birth of our first child, etc.
It definately brought on the waterworks.
My sister (who is also my MOH) also made a collage of pictures of me and my fiancee from when we were little. My two best friends who are in my wedding party made me a collage of when the three of us were kids too. Finally, when my BMs sent out the invitations they included a recipe card in which they asked everyone to contribute a recipe. All the recipes went into a beautiful box with our names engraved.
I will post pictures as soon as I get them back and when I figure out how to post them on the site.
