Quick background: My 11 BM's are wearing a lovely Jim Hjelm black dress, black shoes and cream colored pearls of their choice. Very cute since some of them are doing larger pearls and one of my stylish sisters is wearing long pearls.
Here is why I am mad: My other sister is REFUSING to wear cream colored pearls. According to her, they don't look good on her. She wants to wear -- get this -- BLACK PEARLS. You must be f-ing kidding me. I told her to go to ANYWHERE and get a cheap string of cream pearls. She said she couldn't do that because she is allergic to metal and the clasp might cause her to have a rash. I told her to wrap the clasp in medical tape and WA-LA solution to her problem. She said NO! Can you believe that?!?!
So I had to do the unthinkable and call my parents and tell them that she is just being awful and if she won't wear what everyone else is, she can't be in the wedding. Well my mom thinks I am over-reacting and my dad thinks my sister is being a baby so now my parents are fighting too.
AM I BEING A BRIDEZILLA???

Your sis is being ridiculous! Don't kick her out of the wedding or involve your parents. she is going to give in and wear them anyway --heck it is your day.

ugh, i hate when people cant just do as theyre asked... they agreed to be a bm. theyre supposed to do whatever it is you want them to do on your wedding day.

She's allergic to the clasp of the pair of cream pearls she doesn't even have. She has a metal allergy so she can only wear gold.
I haven't gotten a chance to read everything yet but... as for her only able to wear gold because of an allergy, that is false, she can wear surgical steal, and I can almost guarntee that she can find ivory pealrs that have surgical steal at Claire's.
I am so very sorry you have to put up with this so close to you special day.

My friend is alergic to metal and she puts clear nail polish onn the metal parts of earrings and it works.

whenever i think i am overreacting in a one on one situation w someone else, i take a step back and think about what i would do in the other person's shoes.
if i were in my sister's wedding party i would wear whatever the h e l l she wanted me to wear, no questions asked. wouldn't you do it for her, even if you didn't think it flattered you? (and honestly, how do pearls not look good?!).
so no...you are not overreacting. she's being ridiculous.

i'm laughing, my wedding starts fights w/ my parents and my dad is always on my side, lol.. but no your not being unreasonable your sister should due what you ask of her.

NOT AT ALL!!! you're the bride! when its her time, she can wear and have the BM wear what she wants. the black pearls dont have a metal clasp?? not all strings of pearls have a slasp (real or fake)
