I wish I did not work with my FSIL!!! I have been working with her for 8 years. Our company recently merged with another company and her and I are the only ones from our company to survive the layoffs. So, she never misses a beat to embarass me in front of my new (and way more serious) admin! Yesterday a fright train (that is literally right next to our building) got stuck and blocked us for like 45 mins. I HATE feeling trapped, so i got a little nervous. This morning, she tells my boss how I 'lost it' and was 'panicing' and how I 'drove everyone nuts'. SOOOOO not true! Also, last week, my car was buried in snow (parallel parked between 2 SUV's and plowed in on a 1way street) and I couldn't get it out and I ended up missing work. SO, of course, she made fun of my with my new admin forever! They even bought me a shovel and left it on my desk. I was the office A$$hole all week! She does it in this joking way, but she makes me look really bad in front of the new admin! Ugh I HATE her!
And don't even get me started on the wedding! She always tells me how I don't need it (she had a tiny cheap wedding) and how I am spending all of FH's $$ (uhm excuse me, OUR money). So, she has ZERO interest in my wedding, but then PLAYS THE VICTIM to our co-workers crying about how I didn't ask her to be a BM! OMG! I could kill her today! She either makes me look like a neurotic, an idiot, or a biiiitch!
Sorry, I just really needed to vent!

Have you spoken to her? I would flip out! How does FH feel about it? Does she realize that if she does something to jeopardize your job it will not only have an effect on your relationship with her but also on her relationship with her brother!! Ugh!!

I wouldnt even talk to her about it, she sounds to be one of those who would turn it around and make it out to be ur fault. I would actually go the passive agressive road and start giving her of her own medicine. if she says anythign about how u spend 'FH money' say 'and I am loving every min of it! hahaha!'. if she jokes how u couldnt get out of snow 'well we cant all be like u with such manly force!' the moment u will participate in her jabs at u she will lose interest in doing so

I sometimes think this is the route to go! I have tried confronting her sooo manytimes in the past. It just makes things worse. Then she makes me out to be a 'baby' or a 'whiner'. Did I mention she's 40?!?!? Grow up!!! Seriously! FH cant stand her either (she's not his sister, she's married to his brother). Its funny how she is soooo Christianly and looks down on us sinners (FH and I), but she acts like a total A$$hat!
She actually got me this job, so I try to be grateful. She has a higher position than me, so I also try to stay professional. But seriously, she is just getting ridiculous!
