I have a question about someone here.
I am a regular poster for well over a year and i usually don't get involved in the any type of cotroversey...but i have a question that has been on my mind...WHO IS ALLURE?????
I know this has been asked before...but really I just don't understand how the only question she posts for this 'bride to be' is 'whats for lunch' or Felica i had that Boo saying first. And in all the other emails she writes about anything that will bring a lot of attention....most of you go with...but i am at the point that i just don't understand it all.....so any ideas who she is, is she really a bride..
Please allure i know you will be the first one reading this so let me know who you are...

This gets awarded CLASSLESS thread of the week by Classless King DjPiLL.

EDIT: And just so you know... the mystery poster isn't me. I think everybody here knows I like to make my ruckus 'public'... no need to hide here.

Re: I have a question about someone here.
Not everyone on here is a bride, by the way. Does it matter if she is a bride or not?IMO, it doesn't.
Allure is a thoughtful & helpful person (at least to me she has been) and I enjoy her 'whats for lunch' posts.
Are you really a bride? You are using a 'fake' name and your only question has been 'Who is allure' so technically this post could be written about you also.
Does it really matter?
She is not hurting anyone.
If you don't like her posts then skip them.

Julz, I was about to say something very similar to what you wrote.
I don't care who Allure is. Not that I don't care about her, but that I don't care if Allure is a bride, or newlywed, or married 10 years or whatever. Doesn't make a difference to me.
And it should not make a different to anyone else, IMO.

Re: I have a question about someone here.
I totally agree with Julz...Whats the big deal? I have never seen allure do anything to intentionally hurt anyone so why always the questions if she is a 'real bride' or not. I know others on here who post and are not getting married..so even if she isnt..whats so important??
I just dont get it??

I don't think that's the issue. Obviously we accept brides, newlyweds, oldlyweds, almostweds. The questions, if I'm getting the meaning correctly, is whether or not this person is being duplicitous. I have no opinion either way, I'm just interpreting!

Truat me i am a bride on here and that is fine if she gives some good advice....
HOWEVER...i have been called out for innocent posts....and I can't understand why she can start stuff (in chat board world) and gets away with it...it really bothers me (and if just me fine) but...
I am honestly just wondering who she is.....you don't necessarily need to be a bride there are plenty of people on here that are not but they are open about who they are....and the reason why i am going by a fake name is i am sure people will attack me if i didn't...i just don't understand why she has nothing to say about her wedding plans, etc. Its one thing if you don't want to post pictures, etc...but its another thing if all you care about is complaining about other peoples sayings or you meniton how you know a fake and then wait for contronversey to start...JMO.....

ROFL! I concur!!!!
And about ehr being duplicitous. Sure, any of us could be another person that who we say we are, but I think there is a level amnd standard of trust we try to maintain here, and part of that is questioning people when we think they're vendors posing as real brides, so they don't mislead anyone else. I really don't know anything about the situation about the girl who is being questioned here, so I can't comment one way or another, but there have been other people on here, especially of late, who have been signing on under assumed names DELIBERATELY trying to start something, either with everyone, a group of people, or certain people in particular, Like our mystery poster, I've been on the recieving end of the 'newbies' calling brides out, so I know what she means... Allure is by no means a newbie, but,...

Re: I have a question about someone here.
Like I said... it would not surprise me if somebody posted something asking who a certain person is... but actually being that person... to gague a site's interest in that person. In this case... could be Allure posting as the nasty mystery person to find out how many people will 'back her'.
Not sure if allure is the type of person that would do something like this, but after being on this site for 6 minths, without naming names I wouldn't put it past some people to do something similar.
Just my two cents (under my REAL name).

Re: I have a question about someone here.
MrsH, even if Allue was not a 'real bride'...does it really matter in the long run?And if she starts controversy, we all help make it last longer by replying to any controversial posts. If people chose to ignore it it wouldn't be controversial in the first place.

Re: I have a question about someone here.
You have a point, but I feel differently. I think there are alot of honest brides (and grooms) on here, who have become my friends, whose opinions I trust because I trust that they are being forthright with all of us. If somsone isn't being forthright, I'd rather everyone know, and know not to take that person's opinions seriously. For example, if I say something, and someone calls it 'childish' or 'mean' or whatever, if it's a real bride, I'd be really upset that gave that impression, but if it's a fakie, who is just trying to start controversy, then I know I can ignore it, b/c it's BS
