WOW - you sent out your invites 10 weeks in advance??? Is this normal or do you have a B List to send to when you get enough NO's?
Just asking - I thought 6 - 8 weeks was the recommended time to send it out. I'm clueless...just trying to figure out the right time frame...thanks!

Yeah, tell me about it! We are in the process of researching and will be buying soon. I went to my grandma's house (ok, it's my dad's too! That's why there is a good computer) and I couldn't upload them. John says it's because I didn't bring the cd with me I will try my hardest to post them on my computer.
Trust me ladies, they are incredible! This girl could do this for a living!

I sent my invites out 12 weeks before the wedding with a response date of 6 weeks before the wedding. You'd be surprised how many people you actually have to chase after to get a reply. I think 12 weeks allows you more time to do your seating and finalize your list.

We sent them out February 14, RSVP Date of March 20 for an April 30 wedding...we do have OOT guests, and no B List for us...

Interesting - I actually just read in one of the bridal mags that sending invites out too early is why many brides have to chase after people for a response. The person gets the invite, sees they have so long to respond and just set it aside and forget about it. They were recommending the 6 to 8 week timeframe to ensure less chasing after people! Just a thought.
