I just got the worst phonecall...
My sister just called me to tell me that a friend of ours has passed away. She was 41 years young. I am devestated and in total shock. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago. She went through her treatment and was doing great. About 9 months ago she was complaining of back pain and the doctors assured her it was s pinched nerve. After quite a few weeks of sever pain, they finally did a MRI and found that the so called pinched nerve was a mass on her spine. Well, after this news she became very distant from everyone around her. My sister and her friends would try to call, she wouldn't pick up the phone...they would stop by and she would invite them in but never ever speak of her ailments or complain that anything hurt. She was in a true denial state. I can't say much about how she did feel...good or bad...she just never spoke about it.
The reason for my post is just to ask you all for some prayers...she left 2 children behind. A daughter who is 14 and a son who is 11. They never knew the extent of how sick thier Mother really was. They are not doing well at all. I feel like I making no sense here and I am sorry for that, but I just wanted to tell you what happened because I knew speaking about it(well typing it) would make me feel a little better. She was an amazing person and always made you laugh. She was one of the funniest people I had ever known. My heart breaks for her kids and her parents. I pray that will all be ok.
Sorry for rambling on and making this so long.
Thanks for reading this ladies...
(sorry...I left this part out)
My sister also told me that the mass on her spine was cancer and that it had spread to her bones. She was suffering in silence with this horrible disease. I can't even imagine the pain she was in.
Thanks again,
Nancy
