I just hired myself a personal trainer.

I hope this time around I may actually be motivated to lose weight! Otherwise I am going to be a big white puff on my wedding day.

Kathy,

I went to safe N trim were your friend owns/works(?) but I ended up getting one of the girls that works there. I feel better with a female.

THey're great, which girl did you get? Are you using the older blond with really short hair and a killer body? I'm forgetting her name for some reason, but she owns Safe N Trim and also Safe N Swim, she's really nice.

I'm so glad to hear you're going there. If you see Joe, or talk to him, be sure to tell him Kathy said hi!

I am having Dina as my PT. I think the lady you are talking about is Sue. She is really nice. I wish I looked half as good as she does.

I had my first session last night. It was GREAT. I really feel motivated. Now I have to get my food under control.

Congratulations.....This will motivate you b/c I always find when I have an 'appointment' for something, I make sure I go....

If it's just a 'oh, I'll go tonite sometime' I find an excuse not to go....

GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: I just hired myself a personal trainer.

When I worked out with Joe, it was amazing! However, the weight only dropped off when I was really really really strict with my diet. I must have worked out with him for 6 months before I really committed to the diet change, and once I changed that....I went down to a size 2!

No matter who you have, they're all great over there!

And one more thing about Sue....don't think she got that way without a lot of help from a plastic surgeon

She told my friend (one of her clients) that she has had breast implants, tummy tuck, and lipo!

So, don't get bogged down thinking you should look like her, when she's didn't even get that way without the knife!

Really! It never entered my head that she would have had plastic surgery. What diet did you follow? I think that if I could just see an a little improvement it would keep me motivated.

It it true what they say that working out becomes addicting?

Re: I just hired myself a personal trainer.

Absolutely!!! It's definately addicted! Even more of an addiction is running!!! I never thought I'd be a runner, and now I just went out and bought a treadmill for my home, because I can't get to run outdoors in the cold, rain or extreme heat.

As for the diet, I found that the Zone works best for me. Pick up the book, it seems complicated at first, but it worked wonders.

I also cut out all breads, and pastas! So, for my serving of carbs, I'd have veggies or fruit, and my protein is usually chicken or fish, and the fat intake is sometimes olive oil, or a little cheese in my omlete.

You get the hang of it after a while, but if you cut out all breads and pastas...you'll see the weight fly off you (remember, if your working out, it is extremely important to eat a suitable amount of protein to help you muscles rebuild after working out!

If you have any other questions, FM me! I also have this amazing nutrition chart given to me by my nutritionist, which is a very easy breakdown of the Zone diet all on one chart, but I already tried scanning it, and it's just not coming out clear...I'll try to get another one (I'm bad, I told Chloegirl I'd get one for her too, and I just haven't had the chance to get there...but if your reading this Chloegirl, I'll get it soon, I promise!!! )
