I love that song, The Question (I think its by Stevie B), Dreamboy, Fantasy Girl-all freestyle I am such a guidette, what can I say I grew up in Queens-I have actually seen TKA in concert
I used to have these great freestyle mix tapes that me and my GFs would listen to as we drove up and down Crossbay Blvd, ah memories.

I didn't know people cruised Crossbay Blvd? I grew up in Queens too - right off Crossbay Blvd - like three houses in from the Blvd right in Ozone Park on the HB border. I use to go to Frannie Lou to cruise...I have some funny pictures from those days....if I was home I would scan them for you. Pictures of the guidos in front of Deli Biz and stuff. I just drove near there the other day and asked DH if he wanted to go cruise the blvd.

I never saw TKA in concert but I saw Coro, Stevie B and Sweet Sensation among others in my day in the Queens/LI clubs....Avanti's, Paleds, the guidette days. DH and I still secretly love the freestyle stuff.

I just made my friend from HS a guidette cd for Christmas. I covered it lots of our high hair pictures! It was cute!

Mine was only a 6 cylinder....but I beat the living day lights out of it lol.....It was hot though....Light metallic blue with blue interior....and it was a coupe, not a fastback.....

Nah, we didnt cruise crossbay, just went there to spy on our wanna be BFs who hung out at New Park. We spent half the time in The Bridge in Rockaway, and would blast the freestyle on the way down there.

I saw Coral in concert too I would go tomorrow if TKA had a concert, they had some badas* dance moves lol.

I'm a LI girl, but we'd used to cruise 86th St with our B-hurst friends or Rockaway with our South Ozone Park girls.

Then, Saturday night it was on to the Funhouse to see Jellybean or Louis Vega...

Every August KTU has beatstock and all the 80's freestyle stars perform...it's awesome.

Oh the Bridge - forgot about that place. I use to hang out there but probably when I started college so by then I was losing my guidetteness...but we use to have some drunken fun at the Bridge!

and occassionaly we head out to see the Uptown Rockaway Bars
