my fiance thinks we are crazy to spend so much money on a cake when one is already included at our hall. The cakes at our hall are unacceptable in my opinion. I don't know what to do. The cake we designed today sounds so incredible.
We had them do our cookies, and occasion cake for our engagement. everything was delicious.

I have heard that the cakes taste good, just that they dont look as nice. Honestly, I couldn't care less how the cake looks. I'd rather spend the money on something else. JMHO.
i would have to agree only because... i can't remember what any cake looks like... i don't even remember seeing wedding cakes.. they are there for a second and then cut up

I will - i just wish more of teh NRC that are getting married in 2004 are using the NRC cake - if they all buy cakes from outside then we'll never get more opinions!

Georgia, I am. I decided I would rather use the money towards other things. I didn't care anymore what it looked like. I told them to make it very plain and John from Flower Michele is going to decorate it. I also had two layers stacked, then tiered the top two. I guess we will see...
I am also very interested to see a tiered cake from NRC. All of the cakes Ive seen from past brides are stacked, and I believe that is what the problem is. Im going to tier it, but im not until 4/05
