I miss my enagagement ring!

I miss my enagagement ring!

MY engagement ring has now gone into the jewellers for my wedding ring to be shaped round it to ensure a perfect fit.

MY engagement ring is also a little unusual in that it has a large pink sapphire and diamonds. The same jeweller who made it is making my wedding ring and he is putting tiny pink sapphires and diamonds in the wedding band. Again he wanted the engagement ring to ensure a perfect match for the stones.

I wont get it back for three weeks and I miss it so much !!!

Am I silly ?

No, you are not silly at all. I can't sleep without my ring. I only take it off when I shower and when I get out I can't wait to put it back on. I just feel so happy and peaceful when I feel it on my finger!!

You are definitely not silly!!! My engagement ring is like an attachment of my ring finger - it's very weird when it's not there.

Your ring sounds really beautiful, and I'm sure with the wedding band it will be spectacular. I understand what you mean, I swear I felt my hand ache when I did not have mine on!

Not silly at all - infact, I MISS MINE TOO!!!!
Mine is at the jewlers having the prongs tightened b/c they came a bit loose....
It's only going to take a day, but the jewler that I trust is far away so I won't be able to get back there for a week or so.....
I feel so weird with it not on my finger!!!!!!

When I had, to have my e-ring fixed, I always had my backup silver CZ that I always wore, a gal's finger does get lonely. I definitely know what you mean. It will be back soon. My hubby forgot his ring one morning and he let me give him my band to wear go figure

Not silly at all. I felt the same way when my ring went in to get sized. I couldn't wait to get it back. When they were sizing it they also took a mold of it so that they wouldn't have to take it away form me agian when they were making my band.
I have saphires too! but mine are blue, I love it.

I had to give mine up for 2 weeks when we had the custom wedding band made

I wore another ring on that finger so I didn't feel 'naked'

I don't think its silly at all. I often have to take my ring off when I'm at work and I hate it. I wear it around my neck but my finger feels so empty.

Thanks all for understanding! I keep 'feeling' the empty space with my other fingers - a bit like when you have a tooth removed and you 'have' to feel the gap with your tongue.

I am sure it will be worth it to get a perfect match and I will post pics when they both come back - hopefully at the end of next week.

No you are not silly!! I miss it when I am sleeping! HAHA It sounds beautiful!! A little like J Lo's!! HAHA I know its not a pink diamond but it sounds gorgeous! Definetley post a pic when you can!! I hope you get your ring back sooner than later!!

Yeah...post a pic! I love sapphires!

I went through diamond withdrawal when I had to drop off my studs at my jeweler so they could put screwbacks on them. That was a long two weeks!! I would feel so nekkid without my e-ring!

I had to give mine to my Dad to get it resized when we first got engaged and just recently to get it engraved. I felt soooooo naked both times!!! So, no you are not silly.

I dont wear any other jewellery on that hand and it looks so bare ,, I only hope they are all back for this friday as promised!
