Yeah, i checked it out and pretty much everyone said good things...i think i'm just too indecisive to plan a wedding, and i'm only 3 months in!
I think how you're feeling is totally normal. I booked my place and then was 2nd guessing it for 2 weeks...even though it was my favorite place. I was wondering 'what if' i didnt make the right decision...or should i have gone somewhere cheaper. Now that I am happy with my RH decision...I cant make a final decision on vendors. I've met with a florist, band and photographer I love...and cant seem to commit to anything! Dont worry. We all have time (2010 brides)...so we'll make the decision when the timing is right.

If you went there and you love it, then it's where you will probably end up going back to to book. I know what you mean about the deal sounding so good it can't be true, but some places really do have fantastic deals even though they're beautiful and have great food and offer a great service. I've seen a few people on here mention the Swan Club, but I mean there are a ton of places here on LI and some are just more common than others such as CLM. I'm sure things will be wonderful for you if you've found the place you love, but if you want to make sure this is it, look at a few more places. Good luck!

Yeah, the bathroom thing was definitely weird...i'm not quite sure how my larger relatives are going to fare with that part. I think the only things we didn't get to see while we were there were the chapel (which looks beautiful in the pics) and the bridal suites, since they were all being used at the time. We also didn't get to try the food, so i won't really know how it is till we go home again at the end of november. How are the bridal suites (i'm assuming that's plural, since there's more than 1 wedding)? I just hate this whole second guessing stuff, it's very frustrating
yes, i know... me n my mom had a hard time turning in there and we're petite We have some larger guests on my side too that may have a prob... I feel like warning them and telling them they can use the bridal suite instead... Not sure what room you have, but the camelot's suite actually has use of 2 bathrooms up there... 1 in the room and 1 right outside of it, which is great! The suite was nothing special... kinda small... but it gives you that time away to relax that im sure will be needed at some point!

Me and my mom were the same way! We would have the camelot room too...i'm kind of surprised we didn't even realize that there was a bathroom right in the room, color me oblivious I think the main thing we keep coming back to is if we like the Swan Club or East Wind (estate) better, b/c those were our favorites and so far, the pros and cons of each keep balancing each other out...plus, FH seems to be leaning more the way of EW now.
I'm gonna write this out so i can process it better, sorry if it's long...from what i can figure, the SC pros are: beautiful ceremony spot, love the CH room, camelot room is really pretty, and the gardens are awesome...cons are the fact that it's crazy far from us (more travel time), i'm not crazy about the camelot room table setup (kind of an L shape instead of a full room, which seems awkward) & i've heard some mixed reviews on the food. As for EW, pros are the ginormous bridal suite w/mini CH section for bridal party, CH room is great, i've heard the food is good, it's much closer to us and you get the whole place to yourself...cons are that it's about 15pp more expensive (a big drawback to me), i'm not a fan of the indoor ceremony option, and i really don't like that the main reception room is so heavily decorated in green, so i'd prob have to invest in chair covers (which also equals more $). I keep breaking even in the pros and cons

IMO i would still search for other RH's.... if you can try to come up here for a weekend and make a bunch of appt's in a row with other RH's that are in your price range. Don't worry, you still have time.

Re: I need help!
My girfriend got married there last year, I will say this, there are other parties / weddings going on at the same time, and uising the grounds at the same time...Even at the cocktail hour, which was held outside BOTH brides were less than 10 feet away from eachother, at one point they even took a pic together. For some that might not be a problem, but i know if i am paying THAT kind of money, and it is a ONCE in a lifetime deal i want to be the the only one wearing white. But like everything else, its what matters to you....to save money i didnt (GASP) make up bathroom baskets and a few people thought i was the anti christ for it so you need to do what makes YOU happy.

The only thing I would watch out for is that they definitely do more than one wedding at a time...one of my colleagues said she went to a wedding there and they actually shared a CH with another wedding and it was awkward...I would have them explicitly write in the contract that this won't happen to you. Other than that I have heard only great things about them. Other than that, I have only heard great things about them...one of my friends has been to the Swan Club several times and lovvvvves it...I think she wanted to have her wedding there lol
They shared their CH with another wedding?! I've never heard of such a thing, that's definitely awkward. I'll have to check that part out.
I agree, I couldn't believe any RH would do that and I but it was true!!! I think I would freak out if that happened to me. I wouldn't even like it as a guest... !!

Thanks girls, for all the feedback, i really appreciate it...i think FH and i are going to have to sit down and try to figure out what it is that we really want. Hopefully we can figure it out soon so i can stop overthinking it already!
