I need help choosing a LI reception site...anyone have advice??

Original post by Vicky1706

My fiance and I are interested in planning our wedding on Long Island (not too far out, Nassau preferrably) in December of 2005. All of the websites look beautiful but I don't want to waste a lot of time going to see places that aren't what we are looking for.

-We would like to get married around Christmas. Are there any halls that decorate particularly beautifully for the holidays?
-We are looking in the range of about $60 to $75 per person for around 200 people. (Fri and Sun are ok)
-Food MUST be delicious!

Can anyone help??

I'm getting married at the Sands in Lido Beach which is 5 min from Long Beach, LI.

They have only 1 wedding at a time, so the whole place is yours. The room holds about 250-300 ppl.. it's BEAUTIFUL!! Lots of dance floor space with the stage for the band/dj elevated. The dance floor is surrounded by lights.. it's really exquisite. I know your having a winter wedding, but if you change your mind, the place is located right on the water for beach pictures.

The price for Saturday night is $75pp and Sunday is $60pp +tax.. gratuity is OPTIONAL!!! (that's the best part)

The service is white glove.. and Martini Bar is INCLUDED (if you want it) some places charge u for it.

After all the places I've been too this place was exactly what I was looking for. The price was amazing, the room is beautiful, and the service is amazing!!!

Ian Deschler is the owner. His number is (516) 431-3200.

Good Luck & Congrats!!
