I need to go

I need to go

This job just isn't working out. I feel so depressed right now.
I wish they had just fired me this morning.
Everything I was told that made me take this job is a lie. I now have to right down everything I do all day every day, because I guess they think I don't do anything. But I work my asss off, and the deuche bag here is always dropping ish on my lap for immediate attention.
I get repremanded fore leaving short an 8 hour day, by maybe 5 minutes, when I never take a lunch break.
They changed the locks on me.
I get a call every day asking for a different name- someone that used to work here. He is a firing machine.
Fire me, please.

I once had a job like that. I told them they totally tricked me when I interviewed for them. I started looking for something else after about 3 weeks.

If it's not working out, then you should cut your losses. It's not worth getting sick over.

When I started I was told that I get 2 weeks vaca and 3 personal/ sick days a year.
Only after I used a sick day did the story change, and now I don't get paid for missing work on Friday.
There is no maternity leave, nor any protection from FMLA.
No reason to stay. Misery, every moment, every day.
Hormones don't help.
And my husband doesn't want to hear it. 'What the hell is worng with you, what, are you complaining about your job again?'
Wow, thanks alot for the support. He says that all jobs scuk, mine isn't any worse. I feel like it is, though- especially sucky. But maybe I am just hormonal?

No, you're not hormonal, nor is anything wrong with you.

I get the big everytime I complain about my job. It isn't 1/2 as bad as your situation either. So don't feel bad for complaining.

I complain mostly about my commute. Which, if I haven't mentioned 3898349898 times, SUX.

Thank God.
I'm feeling better- my job sux, but whatever. I could wear sweats if I wanted, and it's close to home.
So what- I have to log my every move every day. Maybe that will stop the accusitory comments, and people thinking I do nothing.
I am not coming back though, after maternity. I don't care- I will get a waitressing job.

Being able to wear sweats is a big plus--that's why I stay here

I complain ALL the time about EVERY job I've ever had. DH thinks that I have authority issues and will NEVER find a job that I'll be okay with.

Sweat pants has its perks, esp once you start showing.

Screw 'em after maternity, you won't want to go back anyway, even if you did like your job.

a- better
just less pisssed.
I think the new girl is my replacement, so I am sort of on a recon mission

eta- I don't appreciate that they would string me along while training my replacemnet, if that is the case. Because I would be expected to give notice.

Do you think I should tll them now that I am preg?
BC that sort of puts them in a pickle, no?
Would I have some sort of recourse if I was fired after telling?

What shoud I get for lunch?

- I would approach the manager and ask whether the new girl is indeed an addition to staff or here to replace. Make it nice-ish, so that it looks like you're a team player, by throwing in something like 'If there's anything I can do to assist in her training, please let me know.

eta- I don't appreciate that they would string me along while training my replacemnet, if that is the case. Because I would be expected to give notice.
it's dickish of them, but it's not illegal. Are you a temp there or a permanent employee? Either way, you'd be eligible for unemployment if they do can you.

Do not tell them that you are PG.

What shoud I get for lunch?
Totally feeling a PB&J right now.

I love all of your advice- can you elaborate on this nugget?
BC as it is, I am terrified to tell them, not sure why until this sudden fired realization hit me.
I have never been fired form a grown up job- I am kind of ashamed at the concept. I work hard here, it would all be on his hands- it's not any of my doing or non doing.
These people are effing nuts.

While it's absolutely illegal to fire someone b/c of their race, religion, etc....(includes disability or pregnancy) - why give them more amo to get rid of you? They could always turn around and say 'Well, you're only going to be here for another 6/5 months, and we need someone on a permanent basis.'

BUT, if they are already thinking of firing her, coming out as a preggo first will give them PAUSE, b/c they have no real reason.

you could sue them for wrongful termination with a 'valid' excuse, and they'd have to prove why they fired you, which, if you have in fact dotted your I's and crossed your T's, they can't.
