I Need to Vent - I am sad

I know I have posted about this before - but i am really upset about my dress and veil. I just picked up the veil at Barron's and it is so plain and ugly - Bridal Reflections told me to get a very plain one so it didn't take away from the detail on the dress - but I just feel so plain and ugly in everything. I do not have my dream wedding dress and I am just so down. FH told me to go shopping for a new dress - but at 12 weeks before my wedding - i just can't mentally and emotionally do it. I don't know what to do. I wanted this light, airy summery tulle wedding dress and FH hates tulle so I didn't do it and I am just miserable now.Wedding Dress

I am attaching link of me in my dress for those who didn't see - it is a beautiful dress - but I don't feel good in it and I don't feel like it is this light beautiful summery dress. Just very down...

First of all, you look fabulous in that dress!!! But if you are not happy with it, I think you should keep looking. Just go looking for fun. There is no pressure to find anything, because you already have a beautiful dress. Maybe you will find something you love.

You look amazing in that dress! I'm not just saying that to make u feel better either.
The dress is beautiful and you in it makes even more beautiful!

It's a beautiful wedding dress and you look amazing in it. On your big day when you're all done up I'm sure you will look absolutely gorgeous. I hope you feel better soon.

personally i think it looks great
i would get a veil w/ a bit of sparkle & terrific accessories - maybe something different - not typically wedding-ish
you look very classy & elegant - modern
i think the dress shows of your figure - but that's me!

Well here is my opinion. You are gorgeous, the dress is gorgeous and you have a fabulous figure. You look like you were made for the dress. Maybe take a nice walk or write in a journal. That helps me. What if you went to a sample sale and found another dress right off the rack at a discount? There are always options. Check ebay. They have tons of dresses readily available in all shapes and sizes.

I think you look absolutely beautiful in your dress. You should NOT feel ugly at all. BUT- you have to do what is best for you.

You look AMAZING in that dress! Don't freak out, it's just wedding nerves. If you want go look for another dress, but you already do have a beautiful one.

I think your dress is beautiful!!!!!! I ordered my dress in Jan. and saw a million dresses I liked better. I went to a bridal store and tried on my same dress that they had there and fell in love with it again.
I think you look really great in your dress-
If you feel that strongly about a new one- shop around and try but you may just end up going back to this one.
there is something to be said about simple elegance.
Maybe try your dress on w/ a different veil or go have your hair or makeupdone and try it on- it could give you a new perspective
Honeslty, you look beautiful in your dress.

You look AMAZING! I love the dress & since it is tough to find & fit a new dress in only 12 weeks, maybe just find a new veil to mix it up a bit? I've seem some that brides have bought at affordable prices on Ebay?

You look gorgeous!!! I love that dress and you make it look great! I think it is summery because it is strapless and I am sure if you hate the veil that much, you can get a new one. Cheer up! You will make a beautiful bride

Along with everyone else I think your dress is gorgeous. And its hard to really understand how you are going to look that day until your hair and make-up are all done. I definately wouldn't stress about it now (it would be crazy to go get a new dress) but in the end -- while we all freak out about our dresses - the important thing is that you are getting married and your FH is going to think you look beautiful.

I think you look stunning in your dress. And the simple veil will look beautiful. In all honesty, I was not crazy about my dress and veil beforehand, but seriously, when you put it all on together on your wedding day, its like a whole new look. When everything comes together on that day, dress, make-up, hair, flowers, veil, everything just looks sooo perfect. You are going to be a beautiful bride. Its hard to see it now, but wait til that day when everything is on together, it will look amazing together.

I hated my plain veil and had to get rid of it (everyone told me to get plain one because my dress had a lot of bead work).. so I went out and got beautiful veil with bead work to match my dress and now my look in complete… I say you go out and find a new veil that you want!!!!!

Thanks for the support ladies - that's why I love you guys. It's probably all just getting to me - it's coming so fast. I truly appreciate your kind words and wish we could all have a group hug

mskimmy - is your dress a maggie sottero? - mine is olympia with a lot of beadwork on the back which is why they said to go plain.

The guy at Barron's said to wait until my first fitting (in June) and I could always bring it back so they can add to it.

I am having hair and makeup trial Sat. so I will post pics of me in veil - hopefully I will like it better when i am all made uo.
