I ODed on prescription drugs last night......(kinda long)

What a nightmare....yesterday, I got my period unexpectedly while I was out at a diner with FH's family (hope i'm not making anyone we're all girls here!)...I had to run out in the middle of lunch and find the nearest supermarket to buy some goods...anyway, after dinner, we had to go to a baby shower for his cousin...my cramps started getting crazy so I asked FMIL for some tylenol...she gave me some prescription medication (IBUPROFEN) and I guess the dosage was really high because 20 minutes later, I was out of it! I couldn't walk on my own, I was trembling, and I was a blubbering mess, I couldn't focus and people are now telling me that my eyes were rolling in the back of my head...they were going to call the ambulance but I didn't want to get my stomach pumped so I just toughed it out...so me and FH spent the whole night in his aunts bedroom with him holding a bucket near the bed while I hyperventilated....so embarassing I think it was a combination of the heat, the drugs, and my period....I'm better now but could it have gotten any worse! FH was really there for me though...he's the best

yes that too, if you took 4 and then passed out you'd be ODing. I would take a look at the contents of the drug just to make sure you don't do this to yourself again.

An over dose is just that... taking a drug in the amount over the suggested dose.
You do not need to be unconcious or pass out in order to over dose.

What she described was an over dose not an allergic reaction. And yes, even taking one can be an over dose since she did not have a perscribed dosage at all.

I'm glad you're okay, from now on, please don't take perscription meds unless they are your own or you know exactly how your body will react to it.

OMG, thank goodness your ok I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. I'm also sorry that you had to leave the shower.

I thought I had it bad, I had a tooth ach (paralizing) so the dentist gave me a perscription. I went to see him, he fixed it and everything was gravey.

UNTIL I was called for an interview and answered a few questions from La-La Land. My face was numb to boot, so my speech was slurred Once I realized that he couldn't understand me, I had to explain that I literally just came from the dentist

Prescription strength ibuprofen can be anything from 400 to 800 mg. It can cause a lot of dizziness and stuff, which people don't know. I hope you're feeling better. Don't take meds that aren't yours!!!!!
