I Said Yes to the Dress! But...
So I said yes to the dress last night since I've been in love with the Maggie Sottero Marianne since I started trying dresses on back in October. It was always the one above any other! I ordered it in ivory (they only had the sample in blush, and had another Maggie dress sample in ivory), but I had a nightmare last night I should've ordered it in white! What do you girls think? My flower girl might be wearing her cousins dress that she wore in a wedding which I'm 99% sure is white. Should I change, or go back to the store and try on both samples? I'm having my first wedding meltdown lol

I would go back to the store and try on both samples. Once you see both on you should know which one is right for you.

I'd definitely go back and try on any other Maggie dresses in similar fabric in the ivory and white. Here's a thread I found on wedding bee of your dress.. If you scroll through you can see what they look like on real people in the different shades..http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/maggie-sottero-marianne/page/2

I was going back and forth with white and ivory and the bridal attendant at the store I got my dress from said that many brides get ivory because the white is stark white and very bright!! I decided to go with ivory!!

I decided to go with ivory and when my dress came in you would never call it ivory when it stands alone. But definitely try on samples of each color if you're having doubts about it! BTW that dress is stunning!!!

Try on both colors and see what you like and even what color the dress looks better in. I LOVE my dress in ivory, but then I tried it on in white in another store and I hated it!

Thanks girls! I'm going to stick with ivory! I was freaking out because of the flower girl dress but my MOH (the flower girls godmother) said you dont choose your dress around what she has (which is her cousins old flower girl dress). She can change her dress and now I feel much better. The ivory in a Maggie i loved!

Thank you so much! This helped a lot! I feel like the only way the white and ivory looks different is if you look at them side by side.

Congratulations!!! It's ok. No meltdowns. It's a happy time. I would go back and try on both colors. My dress is ivory. And thankfully the sample was ivory. So I was 100% sure I wanted ivory. I think some of the whites are too white.
